Great for a multitude of light DIY tasks, this hand saw has a carbon steel hack saw blade with a plastic grip handle.

Small and Good!
I bought this in store a couple of month ago and its small, inexpensive, handy and easy to change the blade when one breaks. You would need to keep the blade straight while sawing.

Use with caution
I had to return the first Saw as the blade had already snapped in the packing. When using the saw for the first time to saw a straight line into wood the blade snapped. With what little blade i had left that too snapped and i was mindful not to apply pressure and the the blade do the work. This looks good but the blade is very impractical and brittle so be very careful. It is made of poorly constructed metal and has no flexibility.

how do you fix blade in?
thought it looked handy BUT how do you fix the blade in? do you have to break it in half?? that does not seem very safe. this is going to be donated to WorkAid in Chesham.

Broke on first use
I used this for the first time to saw off a rusted bolt attaching a toilet seat. The blade snapped after 20 seconds of use.
I then used a traditional junior hacksaw to do the job, and that blade was fine.
I think that the slightest flex or sideways pressure on this particular blade will cause it to snap, so be warned.
Robert Dyas were good in that they exchanged it for me for something else.
