FAQs

How to Build a Greenhouse?

This is really quite simple for the greenhouses we offer at Robert Dyas. All of our greenhouses are made of metal pole frames that fit together effortlessly, with the reinforced plastic covering placed over the top and fastened much the way you would a tent cover. Of course, all instructions are included so you can build your greenhouse yourself at home.

What to Grow in a Greenhouse?

You can grow plenty in a greenhouse and growing your own vegetables can be a sustainable way of feeding your family and taking up a new hobby. Popular fresh produce to grow in a greenhouse include tomatoes, root vegetables, squash, and cucumbers.

How does a Greenhouse Work?

A greenhouse is designed to shield your crops from the harsher side of British weather, whilst maintaining an optimum temperature for growth and allowing in the right amount of light. This means your fresh vegetables and flowers won’t be overwatered because of the rain, or baking in the sun, because they’ll be sheltered and protected. Some greenhouses have higher incubation specifications, and others are simply there to act as a barrier. You can find both on Robert Dyas.
