Solid Bit of Kit But Needs Adapting For Rain
We originally bought what appears to be a copy of this Gazebo on a well-known internet site so we knew what to expect. We needed another one for our large patio so bought this from Robert Dyas. As with the original Gazebo once the canvas top is adapted with a little work, the Gazebo is fine.
We bought a set of brass eyelets, toggles and a hole punch and turned the four sides of the canvas top in by an inch and stretched it on all 4 sides using the elastic toggles so it is taught all round
Then we used a good canvas waterproofing liquid (Grangers) to make it good to use in the rain
They are fine as a sun shade but not in the rain, the Velcro type fasteners do not hold when there has been a shower, the canvas sags, and collects water and anyway the canvas is not waterproof and the rain drips through
Adapting the Gazebo as I have said above sounds like a lot of work but in total it was probably about 2-3 hours in total
I fixed it to the patio and wall with plugs and screws and it has just dealt with the back end of the recent hurricane without any drama
As a sun-shade the Gazebo is fine, the build quality is excellent but it cannot deal with rain

i bought this as a sunshade its ok it stops the full glare of the sun but its a problem if it rains brcause it holds the water in puddles and its difficult to remove the covering quickly ,dont really want to remove it everytime it rains
