Overview
With its powerful light, five beam modes and compact design, this lightweight, durable torch is suited to a variety of needs.
The super-bright LED emits up to 6000 lux of brightness – 14 times greater than some torches – and comes with a zoom focus that lets you concentrate the beam for a wide, room-flooding light or narrow, specific spotlight for close-up tactical work.
It features five separate beam modes, from the standard high, medium and low settings, to the specialist strobe function and ‘SOS’ Morse Code flashing signal which will help you be seen by rescuers if you’re ever lost or broken down.
With a robust but lightweight aluminium construction and knurled all-weather grip it will come rain or shine, while the Tough Max Torch’s conveniently small size means it fits in pockets and purses to provide super-brightness when you need it the most.

Great value, took 1 min to put the batteries in...
Seriously, give an item a bad review about putting the batteries in. Either read the instructions or just unscrew the bottom, turn upside down and a battery holder drops out. Put in the batteries the correct way round, pop the holder back in and screw up the bottom. Away you go... I got it with 75% off, so great deal and comes with carry pouch to go on belt.

Brilliant versatile torch
Bought while on offer so great price for powerful compact torch. Robust build, easy to operate. A little weighty so better for in the car/motorbike/garage/home rather than hiking rucksack. Thoroughly recommended.

Light Fantastic
I live in a village that doesn't have street lights and in the past, have bought a variety of torches that just about do the job. I bought the Tough Max torch hoping the reviews were right.. and they were! This is the most amazing torch I've owned.. extremely bright light and with the clever ability to adjust the width of the beam. Would highly recommend.

How do you put the batteries in ?
There are no instructions on how to put the batteries in, and although I have been using torches for some 65 years, I can't see how to do it, which is humiliating and disappointing. And ridiculous. The beam won't reach 5 nautical miles as claimed (!) without batteries.
