Does exactly what you hope it should
Bought this about three weeks to strip a solid pine floor in a house we just bought. Floor was heavily stained with old-fashioned dark wood stain, about 50cm all around the edges - but not any more! The sander is heavy, but i found that actually helps when using it and can comfortably sand one-handed. Also works great inverted as a table mounted sander, with the bracket that was included - not sure with Makita don't mention the added bracket in their adds. Remember to buy extra sanding belts, as the unit only comes with one.
Should also mention that i bought this online from 'Robert Dyas' - it was delivered on time with no issues, so cannot fault them and would use them again.
