Just the job
We bought this outdoor box for our Christmas lights, it is big enough for the extension lead and light plugs etc., so is perfect for our requirements. The box is under the bay roof so can't really comment on it's weatherproof quality, but is sturdy and fits / shuts down tight.

Excellent piece of kit.
Good quality and seems completely weatherproof (it was out in pouring rain in an exposed position). The price at Robert Dyas is competitive. Could do with being slightly longer and deeper to make fitting a multi way socket easier but overall it does the job.

Not 100% waterproof
I bought this to use when connecting up my outdoor Christmas lights. Unfortunately, although the price was good, I quickly discovered it was not 100% waterproof. The rubber seal in the frame of the box needs to be slightly deeper so that when you close the lid on to it there is a tighter join. I have placed the box in a plastic back to overcome the problem!

Product Needs Improvement
The section where cables go into the box through a rubber/foam like strip is very fiddly - the strip and plastic clipped cover will not fit back in place properly. Consequently the whole box lid will not close properly on that side potentially rendering the box not waterproof. Shame, otherwise the concept of the box is good but design/manufacture poor.
