Best alarm clock I have ever had . It has a silent movement/ easy to read number face/ light sensor so time can be read in the dark .

Excellent clock
Can see the clock at night time without having to search for a light button.
Use 2 AA batteries (not 3 or more), which are standard size batteries, which we always keep as spare in the house.
Clear numbers on a clear dial.
Because it uses batteries and is not mains powered, it is not a fire hazard.
It is also quite, with no ticking noise.

I suffer from night terrors so find it hard to tell the time by the clocks I had so sent for one from you I love it it has a green light on all night quite dim so easy on the eyes when I get up in the night but if I press the top it lights up even more love it thank youxx

Perfect Clock
This is quite a large clock so very easy to read the time, back light can be switched on & off and it gives a gentle glow rather than a glare, which is great if you wake up in the dark and just want to know what time it is. It is also silent so no annoying tick-tocking if you're trying to get to sleep and are sound sensitive. No problems with batteries to date either (a previous reviewer mentioned this as a problem) although we have only had the clock three weeks. Just to be clear batteries aren't provided so you need to buy your own. Very happy with my purchase.

Just right for me
I ordered the alarm clock online and collected it from my local Dyas store. The alarm clock takes batteries, which is what I wanted. The dial is very, very clear and it works!! The alarm is persistent and does not give up.
It was a good purchase and exceeds my expectation.

Nice bold easy to read face
I bought this for my father, who has dementia. He needed a big alarm clock with a feature to see his clock at night. This fitted the bill perfectly,with the light sensor facility, and bold numbers on an easy to see clock face. He is pleased with it, as am I. It is easy to adjust also, and the silent second hand is good.

Larger than expected
I bought 2 of these, of which one did not work. R.Dyas had brilliant customer service and a new one was delivered to me the next day- thank you for such great service.
The clocks are large but do the job eg glow in the dark- so no more fumbling around at 4am to see the time

Attractive Design - Large Face
I purchased the Acctim Sensa Light Clock for my elderly Mother as a birthday gift shortly prior to lockdown. It has a large face dial & the back light can be switched on & off as required. The alarm is loud enough to wake even the deepest sleeper. However, there is a problem that battery life in this clock is hopeless! Even expensive Duracell long life batteries last little more than a week before the clock stops! My mother now refuses to waste any more expense on batteries & the clock has bee consigned to the cupboard!

Alarm on/off switch at rear of clock
1st clock delivered, put new batteries in but clock kept stopping, 4 times in 5 hrs.
Robert Dyas were brilliant though and quickly dispatched a replacement which keeps time well and looks good.
However for use as an alarm clock it is designed poorly because the alarm on/off switch is tiny and flimsy and also located adjacent to the light on/off switch at the rear of the clock which means when the alarm goes off you physically have to pick the clock up and fumble around at the rear of the clock to locate the on/off switch. Anyone suffering dexterity problems should avoid this alarm clock.
