Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheaper alternative This is my second time buying this 60-day filter. Highly recommended no doubt about that. Takes away "metallic" taste and lasts a long time so very good value. However of course it has it's downside as well. In my opinion the efficiency decreases by the 6th week as the taste of the water changes by this time, then becomes gradually more metallic in taste again till the last week. Also, I have a Britta maxtra jug and it doesn't fit perfectly unfortunately. As a result a small amount of unfiltered water remains in the jug. I'm personally not bothered with this as I usually top it up very frequently anyway. Overall it is a good enough alternative to the much more expensive Britta filters. I will buy it again and would highly recommend it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Entertaining Doubts I bought this Filter recently because it promised to last twice the time of the 30-Day Filter and, surprisingly, was also much cheaper. I was somewhat puzzled as to why it was cheaper than the 30-Day Filter since it will last twice as long ; but I have had some misgivings recently because it tended to leave a greenish yellow ring at the foot of the ' inner vessel ' of the Filter Jug. I'm not sure whether this is of any significance but it may have, and as a result I'm wondering whether the 60-Day Filter is really as efficient as the 30-Day one ?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value My husband and I had been using a more expensive water filter for our jug as there is a lot of lime in our water. Then I discovered Aqua Optima which is less costly and works well and lasts longe! If it wasn't for Robert Dyas I would not have discovered such a great alternative water filter. Thank you to that well informed shop assistant I met in the shop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with Brita Maxtra Just bought a box of these because they were so much cheaper than the Brita filters. However, the last half inch or so of water does not filter down, and of course when you pour from the jug that is the first water you get. You have to remove the top part that holds the filter & pour out the extra water. Cheap but not a good replacement.

I bought these to use with my new Morphy Richards filter kettle (also purchased from Robert Days) for when the Brita cartridge which came with the kettle needed replacing. So far, they work as well as the Brita, and are excellent value. Not yet been in for 60 days, but all seems well at the moment, with 3 weeks still to go.

To me is as good as Brita but much cheaper. Good quality and good value for money.Now I can see that the cartridges are also recyclable so I am even happier :)

I like the 60 day feature - although you have to remember to reset the timer at the end of 30 days and NOT change the filter. But a small inconvenience for great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheaper than Brita Does the same job as Brita, yet it's cheaper. In the hard water area, where we live, the filter will only last about 3 weeks before first signs od limescale appear at the bottom of your kettle. There is perhaps a few days difference between 30 and 60 days filter.

Robert Dyas offers a FREE Click and Collect service to Robert Dyas stores.

If you choose to have your order delivered to your local store, it is completely free and will be delivered within 5 working days (excluding Bank Holidays).

When your order arrives in your chosen store, we will e-mail you to advise that your order is ready for collection. Your order will be held in store for 7 days.

Standard Delivery

We aim to deliver items that are currently in stock within five (5) working days (excluding Bank Holidays) after the date the order is placed.

Unfortunately at this time we cannot take orders for delivery to British Forces Post Offices (BFPO), Freight Forwarders, international addresses or The Channel Islands (GY, JE).

The following areas are subject to extended lead times:

  • Scottish Highlands & Scottish Isles: +7 days
  • Isle of Man & Isles of Scilly: +2 days
  • Northern Ireland: +4 days

Next Day & Named Day Delivery

Our Next Day service to most of UK Mainland will be available for orders placed on the website from Monday to Friday before 3.00pm for a small additional charge (delivery on working days only). Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday will be delivered Tuesday.

You can also select a convenient day to receive your delivery by choosing a named day delivery (delivery on working days only).

Working days are Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.

Saturday Delivery

Orders placed before 3.00pm on a Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), can be delivered on a Saturday for an additional charge.



In the UK you have a legal right, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014, to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days following your receipt of the goods. Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.

You may not cancel orders for the following types of products:

  • Electrical/Technical products which have been unsealed
  • Customised or bespoke Products
  • Anything of a nature that for hygiene or associated health and safety - this includes the Outdoor Spas, Mattresses and Divan Sets
  • Fresh food

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014 you have a duty to take reasonable care of Products whilst they are in your possession. You will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the Products.

How To Return A Product

If you wish to return your item to Robert Dyas, you can do so by one of the following methods:

1. Request a Collection via Robert Dyas Customer Services

Contact our Customer Services team on 0333 103 6677 (Monday- Friday 08:00 - 20:00, Saturday-Sunday 09:00 - 17:00 - call charges may vary by network) or via email to: [email protected] who will be able to arrange a collection for your item. Please ensure that you provide your order number when contacting customer services.

If you are returning the item under your 14 day right to cancel, then a collection charge will be applied:

  • Products < 20kg: £7.50
  • Products > 20kg: £30

If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

2. Post back the item to the Robert Dyas Warehouse

Whether you bought the product in store, online or over the phone, most of our products can be returned to a Robert Dyas stores. Please bring your order confirmation as proof of purchase. Please do not attempt to return large or heavy products, including large kitchen appliances, outdoor furniture, indoor furniture etc to your local store. If in doubt of whether you should return a product to your local store, please contact customer services first.
