Overview

If your bedroom, office or relaxing area is too hot or stuffy to enjoy, the Beldray mini tower fan will keep you cool. Small and compact, it can conveniently sit on your desk without being obtrusive and gently cool the area.

It has two switch operated speed settings so you can control the air flow, while the oscillation function allows you to distribute cold air throughout the room.

Operating with an amazingly low noise level, it is ideal for use in the office or a quiet study area. The power cord measures 140 cm, allowing the fan to have a longer reach so you are not restricted to using it next to a plug socket.

Small and compact, it can be used anywhere in the house as it will fit neatly on most surfaces including windowsills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little fan It's a great little fan - suitable for keeping both me and my computer cool. It takes up very little room which is a bonus and is surprisingly quiet compared to other fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very neat and compact I am very pleased with the Beldray fan, takes up very little space on my dressing table on the humid nights we had and isn't noisy. I tried to buy another one two days later but they had been sold out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for close by cooling though I had one problem I purchased this in store today on an impulse buy, since another 30°C+ weekend is upon us. I chose it because I have a small bedroom-office, and need to utilise my desk space very efficiently especially now I am working from home indefinitely due to COVID-19. Overall, I think it is good value and I am very please, but with one problem. The size is compact enough to be placed in the corner of an office desk without taking up too much space or causing too much of a visual distraction. It is also lightweight and feels sturdy. See the photo attached, with my old Muji 11cm USB Desk Fan on the right for size comparison. It has three reasonably effective speeds, and oscillation which rotates the fan smoothly (this can be turned on or off for all speed settings). You need to be fairly close to really feel the airflow, within a few meters at least, but this is no problem at all if you are using it at a desk for personal cooling as an example. This is how the product is marketed however, so don't have unreasonably high expectations of using this to circulate air in a large room. Now about the noise, obviously it is not silent (no fan will ever be completely silent) but I think it is reasonably and acceptably quiet (or loud, depending on how you think about it) on all fan level settings. There are certainly quieter fans you can buy on the market (particularly of the traditional circular construction) and some fans might produce higher airflow with less noise, but they usually take up more surface area and are more visually distracting compared to a mini tower fan like this one. One problem I encountered about 5 minutes after first use, was a sudden noticeable mechanical/vibrating/rattling noise as the fan was operating which wasn't there to begin with, regardless of the speed setting and whether the oscillation was turned on or off. I turned it off, gave it a good shake and knock, then turned it on again, but the noise was still there. Determined to solve the problem myself, and because I like this fan so much (and because I like tinkering with things), I disconnected the fan from the electrical outlet, unscrewed the 4 x screws from the rear and removed the rear plastic panel. It took a bit of time and effort to coax the rear panel free, since it was attached to the front half with several internal plastic retention clips. I checked for any loose components, then lubricated the moving motor components with a good lubricant, as I couldn't really see or feel any lubricant having already been applied. To my delight this fixed the problem, and the 'bad' noise has disappeared. Now, I don't suggest that you do the same if faced with this problem (better to get a replacement or refund if it is still in warranty), but I share my experience in case you wish to attempt fixing it yourself and you know how to do it properly and safely, and if not, then for informational purposes at the very least.
