Divan Bed Storage Options

Drawers
Divans can come with either one, two or four drawers in the sides. We’d recommend leaving around 60cm either side of your bed if you want a bed with drawers, to allow for space to open them comfortably.
Ottoman Storage
An ottoman design offers the most storage a divan bed can give because the top of the bed lifts up, allowing you to make full use of the space underneath.
Ottoman and Drawer Storage
Some models are made up of a half-sized ottoman storage area with drawers at the top, giving you the best of both worlds: the ease of opening drawers for things you want to access quickly, and the extra storage capacity of an ottoman.
No Storage
The slightly more compact designs have no storage. These are a good choice if you don’t have space in your room to open any drawers on the sides.
Headboards for Divan Beds
A divan can come with or without a headboard. If you choose a bed without one it will help to keep your costs down, which is ideal if you’re on a tight budget. If you want to add a headboard to turn your bed into a centrepiece, you can buy them separately and fit them onto your divan base easily.
