How to Recreate the Olympics at Home
July 29, 2021

The gold medals are rolling in and it’s hard not to be inspired by team GB’s success! Given that we’re in the middle of summer, why not recreate the Olympics at home? The sun is shining and the kids need entertainment, so dig out those garden games and get that tournament started.

Here are some fun game ideas for you and your little Olympians!

Rounders
Make like Dina Asher-Smith and sprint your way to success around the garden. Just grab a rounders set with a bat, ball and some markers and you’re ready to race.

Egg and Spoon Race
If you’ve not been able to watch your little ones enjoy this famous race at their Sports Day because of lockdown, now’s your chance! All you need is a spoon and a ball of course, and the game is on.

Boules
Who will win gold in this Olympic game debut? Arrange your boules set, get each family member to pick a colour and then it’s every man, woman and child for themselves!

Ping Pong
Can you match the speed of those table tennis Olympians? Grab a table tennis set, get that ball ping-ponging across the table and see how fast you can play.

Gymnastics
With this gymnastics kit, the kids will have bags of fun. Jennifer Gadirova and team, eat your heart out!
