Strong anchor
This products provides a firm anchor for the rotary and is easy to install with the correct equipment. However it should come as standard with the rotary as it is far superior to the plastic fixing that comes with this product.

Great Service
My wife and I came back from a long stay with family in NZ, to find that the Winter weather had buried our Brabantia clothes airer soil spear for good. No amount of searching, (including metal detector), could find it. So I searched the web instead and found just what I wanted, from Robert Dyas. Now our Brabantia air dryer is back in business. So top marks to Brabantia for selling the part seperately from the dryer itself. And top marks to robert dyas for getting it to us in two days!, despite the lockdown environment.

Appears to be a fit for purpose and durable item. It is easy to install although I took the precaution of capping the hole with 15cm depth of concrete for additional security.

lawn spike

Previously when installing washing lines I have set tubes into concrete but decided this time to try hammering in a spike instead. The ordering process was easy and the item was delivered promptly and was packaged well - as good as Christmas present! The spike is a well made robust design and simple to install. The only real secret or skill is to ensure it goes in the ground vertically but this is easily achieved by continously checking with a spirit level until it is in the ground far enough to stop it going off course. Once hammered home it provides a sturdy support for a line full of washing even on our windswept hilltop location. I was so impressed with the service, the product, the ease of installation and the performance once installed - that I ordered a second one for an alternative garden location to catch the winter sun. Thoroughly recommended.

Metal Soil Spear for Compact Rotary Drier
Great does the job... we bought online as the last spike not Brabantia was already laid in concrete in the garden when we moved into our new house and have since became loose, so ordered a new Brabantia 35mm spike and re-laid this in new concrete and now fits a dream with our Brabantia 35mm rotary drier.

Why?
This is a metal tube which is inserted into the ground to receive a Brabantia rotary line. I have not use it as yet as it is intended for a future property but would ask why on earth all suppliers these days expect one to rate the item/service at every opportunity? It may do wonders for the corporate ego but it is a true pain in the nether regions!

Keeps the line up
This spear works well. However it is really difficult to bang into the ground! Needed a sledgehammer!!!! Also it’s long so you don’t know what the ground is like when it gets deeper. Unknown to us our lawn is rocky underneath so took a couple of locations to find a place where it wasn’t too rocky to bang in flush.
