I've had many of these kettles over the last 20 years I've had one of their kettles with the filtering but the only thing I find wrong is the little gauge on the lid The batteries run out very quick which you cannot replace them I have two kettles one at home one at the caravan both have the same problem not on the spare parts list

good kettle
I was dubious about buying a filter kettle as we've had one before and it can be frustrating waiting for the water to filter through. However, the water seems to go through quite fast and I can start boiling it while it finishes filtering through. Good for a hard water area like ours and quieter than my old, much more expensive, kettle.

I bought this from breville because my previous one started to wear and tear....I searched high and low for the same one as Argos no longer sell it..Great product last long makes the perfect cuppa if instructions are followed. Might buy another just in case.

Perfect for hard water areas
Love it. Hot drinks with no scum/residue layer floating on the top ! Tea tastes perfect. Quick to boil. Refilling not a problem at all and saves over filling. Have recommended to friends also living in hard water area..

Good to look at.
After having trawled the web checking filter jug kettles I decided on Breville again as it ticked all the boxes. Spring lid, quick boil, easy to handle. So far so good. My last Breville is still working but is now a bit 'tired' after many years of reliable service, in spite of never having descaled it - never thought of it- and I live in a hard water area.Can't remember when I bought it.
