The BubbleBum is approved to the EU Safety Standard R44.04 for both Groups 2 and 3. As with all booster seats, it is designed for use with a standard 3 point adult seat belt that has been approved to ECE Regulation 15 or equivalent. The material we use is similar to that of a lifebelt making it durable and extra safe. The air bladder contains memory foam which adds structural integrity and comfort. BubbleBum boosts the height of the child to position them within the range where the vehicle safety features (eg airbags) are most effective. Providing ‘boost’ also prevents child from slouching forward. Slouching can place the seat belt in the wrong position on the child.
