Good fit but lacks lipThis fire bowl lid is a great addition to your fit pit. Having previously used a material cover which constantly sagged under the weight of pooling rain water this is a much better solution. It is heavy enough to stay put in the recent winds too. The only part that would improve it would be if there was a lip around the edge so any water running off the edge was tempted to try and run back along the underside. I haven't noticed much if any water ingress yet, but the lip would also help in the positioning of the lid.

Severely rustedI bought this 3 weeks ago and it is already very rusted. As it is an outdoor item, this is really not acceptable. There were no warnings on the advert, and no instructions with it. Robert Dyas told me when I complained that it needed a special varnish and recommended a cover. It is a cover for a firepit! So an additional cover to protect the cover is clear evidence of an unsuitable product.
