Love a temperature controlled kettle!
I drink so many hot drinks and to have a green tea at the right temperature is just as important as having a hot coffee at the right temperature it’s a game changer for me.

Absolutely love it
Brough this a few weeks ago as me and kids love a cuppa in morning and needed a new kettle, absolutely love the different temperature function my youngest can now drink her tea straight away rather than having to wait for it to cool down for ages. It’s brilliant for green tea aswell

Good looking kettle with accurate temperature
I bought this to replace an old kettle that had started to leak. The temperature control appealed as a coffee drinker, as the ability to avoid boiling water and waiting for it to cool, whilst saving some energy appealed.
The temperature control works perfectly and simply, just press the 100° degree button to boil a kettle for tea, or press the temperature button to select 60, 70, 80, or 90° degrees for other uses. The kettle's illumination colour changes to reflect the chosen temperature and once boiled, you get a short but clear beep that it's done.
Checks with a thermometer show the temperature is bang on and reliable.
It also has a keep warm button, but I've yet to see the use for that, as it's a little wasteful, it's just as easy to bring water back to the boil with a press of the button, but maybe there is a use case for it.
I also love the clean looks, the lid pops open simply with the press of a single button, and it looks rather attractive and modern with it's glass body and LED illumination.

It so nearly got 5 stars
I would have given this kettle 5 stars as it does the job and has some good features for the price; the reason I marked it down is that the lid obviously has a design fault, even with the kettle less than half full the boiling water splutters and splashes out of the lid which seems a little dangerous the first time you see it. Daewoo, if you are reading this, take a look at the lid and aim for the perfect 5 Stars...!!!

Return is easy!
I bought this kettle and within 6 months the heating filament had gone. However, due I really liked the kettle so went on the website to organise a replacement. Easy process. They come and collect the broken one and then order you a new one! All done within a week. Thanks Robert Dyas!

Clever temperature controls
I purchased this item over a month ago now. Good value for money! I am very happy with the look and the various water temperature controls that change colour, to indicate at what temperature you have selected, to warm the water. Free delivery (arrived within 48 hours) included in the price too.
This review would have been 5*, however when boiling, it is slightly noisier than my previous kettle, so my overall rating would be 4.5*.

Big capacity and good looking
We've had this kettle for a couple of months so can't comment on it's durability, but we like the style and its extra large capacity is just what we were looking for. It has sophisticated variable heat levels for different types of tea, which we don't really need, but the colours are pretty! It beeps when it's ready, and when you put it on the base, which might irritate some people. Disadvantage: minimal fill level is half a litre, which seems a bit much!

Nice looking kettle, good quality & bright & cheerful. Takes a little longer to boil & quite loud especially the beeps when you first place it on the power tray, when you press desired temp & once its boiled. So no sneaky cuppa for me. But overall a decent kettle.

Excellent pour
If there is one feature to rave about on this kettle it is the pour. Our previous kettle had quite a flat lip which didn't direct the flow of water out if the kettle and into the cup very effectively. This kettle has a much deeper lip which is so much better at giving narrow yet accurate stream of water into your cup.
The one let down if the kettle is that the lights only change with the desired water temperature rather than the actual temperature of the water. Me and my wife were very disappointed to only have our first boil illuminated red.

Good and functional
Works well and quickly and looks great. The button for the lid takes a special touch as the catch doesn't release properly.
Accumulates limescale quickly (more due to hard local water but, because it's clear, it's very obvious)

OK kettle
I brought this to replace another daewoo kettle that had broken, this kettle has lasted 2months it fuse or something broke, went to replace fuse it has 10amp fuse, managed to find somewhere it sales them still don't work so had to take back to shop get a new one

Flimsy - bottom broke wthin two weeks of normal us
Looked good with the colour changes but quite noisy. Two weeks after I bought this kettle the connector on the bottom broke off so it wouldn't work. I was told it might have been because I tried to put it down on the element when it was full! Not sure what else you are supposed to do with a kettle Assume it was a faulty one but wouldn't risk it again.

Does the job
In light this just over a month ago and although it’s a good kettle the button on the top to open the lid has already stopped working properly so sometimes I have to fill it up through the spout which is annoying. It might just be that it’s my particular one but I’m disappointed

Living in a hard water area means the first two inches of glass at the base become chalked up and needs scrubbing off every morning if the aesthetics matter- which of course they do having bought a glass kettle! I still haven't read the instructions so don't get to see all the colours unless I press to look. The boiling water spits out of the lid a bit- probably just a faulty one. Lovely in theory though.

BOILS & HEATS TO LOWER TEMPERATURES WELL
This came without instructions or warranty slip (some instructions are printed on box).
Does the job but has design issue with the handle which is wider at the top making it
awkward to grip particularly when filled to max. and therefore quite heavy.
Also had difficulty opening lid - found that hooking fingernail whilst pressing button
did the trick, problem for anyone with short fingernails.
This nearly went back but we are persevering for now.

Really wanted to like this kettle, but...
This kettle had all the features we were looking for - glass jug, temperature control, 360 rotary base, and reasonable price.
But first kettle was prone to leaking, second and third replacements had faulty lids (push button fails to work, you've got to fiddle and pull it about to get the lid to open now).
These kettles aren't very well made.
It's a shame.

Overall review on this kettle
I only bought this kettle because of the pretty colour lights. I thought it would go through all of the colours on it way to boiling point, no, it is just one colour per temperature, disappointing. It also does not like to be filled to the maximum e.g, if you are cooking pasta, you need a full kettle of water, and sometimes more it does not allow me to re-boil the kettle when it has already been boiled once. Once it is boiled once it does not allow you to re boil straight away, which makes it very difficult to cook food if I need my kettle to boil more than once. You have to then empty it all out and wait for the kettle to cool down and start again. It does not give me the choice to re-boil the kettle again if I want to. It also does not let you open the lid to refill it when it is hot, you have to let it cool down to even attempt opening the kettle lid. You have to push the black button down and touch the silver bit on top of the kettle to even open it, which does seem strange, which again can’t be done whilst the kettle has just boiled. For the amount of money it cost, it is rubbish. It’s ok for a few cups of tea, but that’s about it. You shouldn’t have to spend that much on a kettle when there are cheaper options that I have bought in the past which I have had much better experience with. Overall, it’s really frustrating because it doesn’t allow you to re-boil the kettle as many times as you like. It might look pretty on the outside, but it really was not worth the money. Finally, this kettle was on offer at half price, for 2 months. But the website was always down when I tried to buy it. The purchase went through only at full price. I am disappointed in the kettle.
