Sanding can be a tedious and time-consuming job for do-it-yourselves and professionals alike. But if you want to achieve a fine finish on your projects and get the job done quickly, then our sanders will give you the freedom to get those long overdue jobs done.

Our electric sanders come with variable speeds, making it easy to work with different materials. They are designed to be lightweight for maximum control, making it easy to wield the sander and achieve the finish you want. Alternatively, wood planers are a great tool for trimming edges e.g. door edges, and for flattening out rougher surfaces.

There are different types of sanders available, including orbital sanders and detail sanders. Random orbital sanders are a great choice for beginners as they offer all-round performance and can be moved across the surface in any direction due to the simultaneous rotational and orbital movement. Detail sanders, on the other hand, tend to be smaller so they can be manoeuvred easily in tight angles and crevices. Detail sanders are a great choice if you’re working with something like furniture, whereas an orbital sander would be a great choice for mostly flat surfaces such as flooring.

Electric sanders are used to get a smooth and professional finish, and you should select an appropriate sandpaper to give you the finish you want. Select a sandpaper with an appropriate grit size - choose a lower number for a coarse grit, or a higher number for a smoother finish. In most cases, you should start with a coarser paper to start with, and work your way through to a higher number to get the finest finish possible. This will ensure your surfaces are well prepped, whether you want to paint, stain, seal, or varnish them.
