What is inside the DuraOcean chair?
This chair is 100% made with recycled plastics originating from marine debris, which mainly consists of fishing nets that have been safely removed from the ocean, cleaned and turned into this beautiful chair. As a recycled material, every chair is unique and has different flow line which makes it more exclusive.
Is this chair recyclable?
Yes, this chair is fully recyclable, after use you can dispose of this chair at a recycling station near your home. Alternatively, you can also leave the plastic bucket on the container for plastic bottles.
Can I choose the colour of the DuraOcean chair?
No. DuraOcean® is made from marine debris and therefore the colour palette available is limited to the colour and composition of the debris found, which is normally in different variations of green and occasionally darker tones. These chairs are made from 100% recycled plastic and are free from stabilisers, which will lead to some variation in colour.
Does this chair contain any harmful chemicals?
No, the chair has been manufactured according to rigorous standards and in accordance with the EU laws that banned harmful chemicals (REACH), this chair is completely safe for the environment.

Nice outdoor chairs with some green credentials
Pleased with these - only (rather glaring) omission to the green credential is a statement on the recycled plastic content - if it is >50% then this is great - if like some other "green" products, it is only ~5% then the claims are misleading

Stylish design and good for the planet
I am delighted with my chairs which I have wanted ever since I saw the prototype at the Eden Project. Great use of discarded fishing nets which currently clog coral reefs and kill marine life. Everyone who has seen them loves them and they are very comfortable as well.

I'm really pleased with this garden furniture. It's very sturdy and well made. Doesn't move off the patio when the wind blows like my other set! Plus you are doing your bit for the environment. One comment though....shame about all the packing when it's sold as environmentally friendly!

Stylish and Better for the Environment
I saw these chairs advertised in a gardening magazine and they caught my eye because of their style and environmental credentials. Easy to put together and comfortable, they're a great addition to the garden. Stylish enough for indoors, too, when an extra chair is needed. The design is very comfortable, which is good for me because I've had my hip replaced and not every chair suits me.

Beautiful Chairs
These chairs are really comfortable to sit on and pleasing on the eye as well as being environmentally friendly.
Sadly one of the chairs has a fault and needs replacing but I cannot get a replacement as they have sold out !!!
Currently awaiting a pick up for the faulty order BUT have to wait all day as Robert Dyas cannot specify a time slot!!!

Really nice chairs but unfortunately there was scratches & discolouration to the plastic. The company were very efficient in their refund & pick-up procedure & I would have confidence in purchasing from them again.

Slightly disappointed
The chairs themselves are great, although paying £50 a pair more than a non eco friendly option was a bit of a surprise when we looked into direct alternatives. Will not be using Robert Dyas again however. We paid extra for Saturday delivery which didn’t happen (item turned up on Tuesday) and Dyas customer services were awful. No explanation, no offer of refund for the additional cost. Has left a bitter taste in the mouth, which is a shame.
