Why Buy a Garden Shed?
A garden shed is a great way to keep your belongings safe and your garden clean and tidy. You’ll be well equipped to store all of your gardening tools, hammers, garden winter furniture, bird feeders and more! It’s even handy for keeping your bike and car accessories organised too for your convenience, especially if you don’t have a garage. It even gives you that little bit of extra workshop space that you need too if you put shelves in and you can keep things to hand.
How to insulate a shed?
Bubble wrap is the most cost effective and cheapest way to insulate a wooden shed.
This can be done by:
1. Measuring the shed panels and cutting the bubble wrap to fit.
2. Staple/tack the wrapping to the shed.
3. Using a sheet of MDF boarding over the wrapping, screw/nail into place.
Alternatively, Fibreglass Wool is also extremely useful and perfect for insulating a shed. However, Fibreglass Wool requires protective gear for both your hands and face.
How to treat a shed?
Sheds come with a base coat of wood preservative added. Over time you should treat your shed once a year with good quality, water-resistant wood treatment such as, Briwax Clear Wood Treatment.
