Air con, made mobile - keeping you cooler this summer and beyond. Even better, this HOMCOM unit comes with four modes: cool, dehumidify, ventilate and sleep - so it's easy to keep yourself cool the way you want. Also comes with two speeds. The LED panel displays the current running setting - but if far away you can also control with the remote. There's a removable filter you can clean, keeping the air as fresh as possible. Comes with an exhaust hose and water doesn't have to be drained. NOTE: Can only be used for sliding door windows, the exhaust hose is required to connect inside and outside when installing. If the mobile air conditioner can not be cooled, stand for 24 hours before turning it on

Quick delivery, works great and cools room quickly. Need to seal window for use or provide venting. Reasonable quite.

Ice Cold in just a few minutes!
First impression, my god its huge and heavy - initially found the adapter to the hose for the window a pain - given that I have side opening windows like most houses, I still managed to adjust the plastic partition and squash it between the window and frame - turned it on and my god it's powerful, wish there was a lower fan setting because even on low it's still pretty loud - luckily for me I'm used to a massive fan so not much different from that to be honest. Once you've got it setup its easy enough to get on with and really nice and cold, good features, but already have a dehumidifier with a small reservoir - this has a smaller drain hose instead which is a bit pants - but lets be honest, you buy this because it provides you with nice cold air in 30 degree + summer! :D

It's cheap, and it shows, but it cools
I bought this to try out a cheap air conditioning unit for the odd days when it gets really hot here in SE England. It's not often, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money.
I got what I paid for! This is very cheap! Delivery was quick, comes in a box where you cut the straps and lift the box off the unit, then you realise just how big it is. You need some reasonable space to store this for the majority of days when you don't need it. The unit comes with a semi-rigid tube which is better than nothing, but too short unless it is right by a window. It is frustrating to arrange into position, then pulls out one end or other when you move the unit a little.
In operation it is LOUD! It is within a couple of dB of the rated noise level but this is distractingly loud in a quiet room and I can't imagine trying to fall asleep with it on in a room (maybe with earplugs). The relaxed images in the advert are clearly fake! Then you move it a bit and there is a really annoying vibration of one of the side panels, and you have to move it again to change the weight balance and stop the vibration.
The air it puts out isn't super cold, it is cool enough but not the freezing cold you get out of a car air con system. There is plenty of it though and it cools a room down over time, making it more pleasant than a hot room, but don't use if you want peace and quiet. Maybe I've got a dud unit and most are better, I can't say. In summary - it is cheap, but it cools.
