Kale Nero di Toscana (Brassica oleracea acephala) is a superb winter vegetable with great tasting, unusually dark savoyed leaves. A good source of vitamin C and vitamin A these leaves can be enjoyed steamed, stir-fried or sautéed.
Harvest baby leaves from June to December for best results or more mature plants from September to March. They thrive in rich well-drained soil and prefer partial sun exposure.
