Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is a strongly aromatic herb, a very popular ingredient in Mediterranean cooking. It’s great in containers and rock gardens.
This low growing plant produces plentiful small leaves with a very aromatic, distinct flavour. Perfect as a cooking ingredient or as a garnish.
You can harvest these plants all year round, with outdoor crops being best from June. They thrive best in full sunlight and like a warm, well-drained soil for maximum growth.
