What a fantastic toothbrush with an app I first thought was crazy! My teeth really have never felt as good and it's only been a week of using the 9000!!! 10/10 from me!

Great toothbrush, but forget about warranty claims
Great toothbrush, as was the last Oral B electric brush I had. But the extended warranty is basically impossible to claim on, need original receipt 3 years later!

Very good toothbrush, best from Oral-B
I have been using electric toothbrushes for 20 years. I started with Oral-B, changed to another premium brend, tried third brand, but returned to Oral-B. This toothbrush cleans my teeths like no other electric toothbrush. Wide choise of changeble heads will satisfy all your wishes and needs. Only thing where it is not the best is battery. It is ok, bot not great. It should last longer and be chanrged quicker. One other thing to mention is that it is a little bit louder than competition, but it cleans better and in different way, so i wouldn't take this into account.

Oral-B Genius Black
Using this new brush highlighted that my old Oral-B was definitely on its last legs.
Brush handle is slightly slimmer and much lighter than my old one. Good all round, however glad I bought it while it was on offer as at full price I think is too expensive.
The only negative point I have is that I can not download the app onto my iPhone (apparently it is a little old) so in essence I have bought an expensive toothbrush with no visual aids to brushing, not even a backup wireless SmartGuide. so it really was expensive (even when discounted)

Just recently I bought oral b electric toothbrush.
Love it BUT please do something about your plastic packaging!!!
Found it so difficult to get toothbrush out of its packaging,gave me a nasty cut on my palm.Surely it can be contained in a cardboard box???

Neat Tootbrush.....poor app
Like the product. Bought it primarily for it's Bluetooth connectivity and the app. The issue with the app is that is requires a very tight alignment of the phone to your face. HAs to be precise and one can't really move around while brushing. Kind of impossible to do. I would go for a cheaper version with the bells and whistles (which don't really work in any case).

Misleading Information about Oral B App
The product description does not say that the App will only work with VERY FEW Android phones, the headline is "The Oral-B App is available for mobile devices running iOS or Android operating systems." Mine is Android. It also says "your smartphone must support Bluetooth 4.0 or higher)". Mine does. But only when I try to install the App I find how very limited the app is. The connectivity was one of the reasons that I purchased the brush. Now very disappointed and have wasted much time. You need to check your obligations under the trades description act in the UK. My rating is for the toothbrush, reduced because of the app issue. Not recommended if you want to use the app - CHECK phone compatibility by trying to download the app if this is important to you.

Ordered two 9000 sets from Amazon UK, black and rose gold. The product may be great, but in both sets the headpiece arrived dirty and scratched, which is unacceptable

The photo holder is rubbish!
No matter what surface I attach the holder to, as soon as the phone is in it, it falls off and has actually damaged the phone. The position function on the toothbrush only works if your phone can get an image of your face. I brought this toothbrush for that function to help my son brush his teeth correctly. We can't use the function because of the rubbish phone holder.

very disappointed
I was looking for a USB rechargeable toothbrush I could charge up while travelling in the car. I was pleased Oral B had come up with a model to do this.
When I read the full instructions, USB port is present but it cannot be used for charging the tooth brush!!!!
I shall have to try Philips or colgate instead. Very disappointed.

Annoying flasghing charging light
Always bought Oral B but for the life of me I can not see the justification for any flashing lights! A Gimmick too far. As per the instructions, the unit took 24 hours to charge and through that whole process, green lights were flashing. Whats the harm, some might say? Well, I, for one, keep my brush and charger, in my bedroom and the intensity of flashing green light, bouncing off the walls, kept me awake most of the night! NOT just the one night as the charging light comes on each and every time the brush is used and put back in the base. Pointless this light, it serves no purpose whatsoever so why is it there? Keep things simple.

I Wouldn't Buy This Product
I've used this product for a few months now. The app doesn't support the iPhone X screen size, it's very bland, boring, no adventure or anything. For the price of the product you would think the company would sort the app out and make it interesting. Bluetooth connecting is hit and miss sometimes and logs brushes but sometimes it doesn't log flossing, mouthwash etc.

Great hardware; horrible software
This brush is great in terms of cleaning, feel, charging, etc. It is absolutely top-notch. However, in order to use it effectively you need to use the iOS or Android app. The app needs to run on a phone (so no iPads, etc, though you can install it on such but there is no way to attach it to a mirror, which the app requires). The biggest draw back, however, is if you have a family member that also wants to use the very expensive handle, they also need to have the app on THEIR phone, including one phone for each child. There is no way to select the user in the app, change the user in the app, log into the app, etc. It is limited to one person on one phone! So unless you have a household with every person in it with a smart phone of their own, don't plan on using this model to actually monitoring the brushing habits of your family. Other companies manage to make apps that interact with hardware based on the user (such as scales), but evidently the thought has not occurred to Oral-B.

Rubbish battery
The toothbrush is very good but the battery only lasted 18 months and wont hold a charge now and this is the second one I have had with the same problem. Customer service only offered me £10 towards a new one.

Waste of money
After my dentists advice to try an electric toothbrush I bought this Genius 9000 in October 2018. The Bluetooth connection & the associated app were a big attraction despite the very high price. It worked well for about 2 years. A few months ago the connection stopped working - despite a long (and patronising) correspondence with the support people nothing could be done and I was advised to "wait for the new app" which was imminent. In the interim I just used the app manually as a timer (as an aside the sync with Apple Health is beyond hopeless - recording 4-6 sessions when there had been only 2). The new app has arrived, I still can't connect to my iPhone 11 AND the ability to use the timer manually has been removed.
I am deeply disappointed both with the fact that it failed just over 2 years after purchase, that I don't seem to be alone (read the negative reviews & see how many people have a similar thing) but most of all I'm very disappointed that the company just do not care. I may buy another electric toothbrush but it will NOT be this brand.

Poor battery
Hi, I bought this product in December 2017. Up to a year ago, it needed recharging once a week or longer. Then the time between charges got shorter and shorter. Now it needs recharging every two days and even if I leave it on charge all day, the battery never shows more than 2/3 charged. Maybe mine is a dud, but I would think more than twice before buying another one. Poor value.

Don't buy it!!!!!
Just got off the phone with Braun Oral B over a warranty issue. Paid a lot of money for this toothbrush and it stopped working just after the two year warranty. No satisfaction from Braun Oral B. It's a great toothbrush but don't expect it to last longer than two years. DO NOT buy this toothbrush.It won't take a charge any more. Two years and two months is all I got for a shed load of cash Don't buy it.

Not worth the money
I've had this Genius 9000 just under a year and this is going to be the second time it goes back for none charging. In our household, we have three other similar products, and for some reason, all the products seem to only last a year (approx). Good looking item but the quality on the internals clearly lacking! Would not recommend spending the money on this product simply buy something less expensive it will last the just as long or longer. Braun not longer for me!
