Crisp looking
Just getting used to this but I have had previous ones like this and I found it very versatile. The baked potato program is what I remember from before so happy to have tht back again.

Excellent microwave oven
I have had this a few years using it everyday. It fits a 3 Litre Pyrex Flame casserole, just about goes in. The floor to ceiling is about 26 cm. There is good space either side to grab handles wearing big Masterclass silicone gloves, which I always wear. This produces an excellent cooking result. For example put a 1750 joint of topside beef in with 3 tablespoons of water 50 minutes on medium power, it is cooked. Then brown it in an electric oven for 24 minutes in a steel roasting pan turning halfway with roast potatoes. It saves money because the microwave part cuts down the time by half. This can be seen if you have a smart meter. The convection preheat to 220 degrees can be used to dry out the microwave. I previously used a Panasonic combination microwave of similar dimension, and it lasted 15 years, using it everyday before the light then the magnetron blew. It is worth having this product. I have used the dial functions for cooking frozen products by combination and setting the weight, and reasonably good but it takes trial and error and different brands, even type of potato for baking for auto function. It takes experience and trying things out using your own brain and adjusting it to improve the results each time. The steel has not corroded and must be stainless and high quality because lot of moisture, and there is water to wipe, it is perfect and the LED lighting is brighter than the previous model which had incandescent lighting. It comes with one wire rack and one brown enamel tray. If Panasonic could make a stainless steel version of this tray as a separate accessory it would match the silver oven and I would like to buy it, or perhaps they would do that future when I buy the next model. I still have the previous model in the box this model arrived in purchased from this website, and I don’t want to throw it away. I generally throw things away but not that because it was absolutely brilliant, more powerful and almost industrial model than this but this the Genius model does the job. It takes experience to figure out and improve until you know how to get perfection, but I’ve got there. It is all thanks to Panasonic and Pyrex. The Pyrex Flame/Pyroflam 3 L vitro ceramic casserole with glass lid isn’t available now but there are large glass casseroles that I am sure would do the job for new customers of this product. The lid prevents the fat splashing onto the oven walls and mine is perfectly clean. Just wipe the water off and leave it to dry out or preheat the convection. My oven when I unboxed it was clearly brand new, not a hairline scratch on it. The door squeaks a bit initially but that is due to the newness. Thank you for making great products, and I have the Panasonic Inverter Refridgerator/Freezer and no problems with that product either. One small improvement for the Genius would be the delay is in increments of 1 minute, could start off in increments of 30 seconds for the first 5 minutes of turning the dial. The silver is wearing off at the centre front of the start dial showing more LED through in a little patch from many times pressing start, although I have pressed it with the silicone gloves on! The gloves are high grip. Not much to criticise other than that. Excellent addition to anyone’s kitchen.

I am very happy with my purchase. It is a lot bigger than I had expected but has so much room I was amazed. I have not managed to sort out all the programs yet but am looking forward to the new experience. My very first Genius was purchased approx 30 years ago and it was fantastic.

Good combination microwave
Produces tasty and delicious food, especially pizza at convection 220C and jacket potatoes at Combi 200C. Is a bit too complicated for the average person and could easily be redesigned to be simpler to use, why wasn’t it? However using the guide book has been productive so far. I can’t understand why the guide calls for the tray to be on the turntable for most recipes, daft, I use it just as my old unit and much better cooking without it. I also don’t understand why there’s only one rack supplied, luckily I have two from an old LG oven at the same diameter, so I now have low, medium and high racks to improve my cooking, come on Panasonic think about it.
However overall a good piece of equipment.

Brilliant machine
This purchase was not for me, but for my son. I have had mine for over a year now & its the best microwave I have ever had as it does so much. Jacket potatoes are even better than with my previous model, the dimension 4 which incidentally I still have & use occasionally when I want to do two different types of cooking at the same time e.g. roast meat & microwaved veg.

I would buy this product again I have been very pleased
I like the combination cooking function It is excellent for pies. I also like the low cook and timer for making jam as I have a lot of fruit in my garden.
