This Small animal Cage from PawHut is ideal for hamsters, guinea pigs and other small animals. Perfect living home and exercise area for them to be comfortable and happy. Made from a wooden structure with PVC widows and a top door. The top has a wired mesh which can also be opened fully or adjust from 30 to 60 degrees allowing plenty of fresh air. Love it!
Bought for my Syrian hamster as a upgrade after a lot of searching around I ordered this one and I’m so pleased I did! It’s a fantastic size for a larger hamster, well above minimum requirements for floor space. I did however take out the bottom platform to allow more room for bedding. One of the platforms didn’t line up properly and did have to improvise with a longer screw but that was easy enough. Didn’t take long to put together and clear instructions. Hamster loves it and so do I!

Amazing cage
This cage is by far the best cage i have ever bought. I have a Syrian hanster who originally was in a hamster heaven. I decided to upgrade and my hamster is absolutely loving it. Its huge and cost the same amount as hamster heaven. The quality and size is far better and am extremely happy that my hamster is happy. I rate this cage 10 out of 10 fantastic.

amazing cage!
i bought two of these cages in preparation to adopt a hamster and two gerbils. they are absolutely amazing, they were easy to put together and are the perfect size for purpose.
i will say that i took the levels out after a few days to give them more floor space and much prefer them this way, it also gives space for a suitable wheel.

Hamster is happy, building was hard
For its hefty price tag I would have expected slightly better craftsmanship - some of the pieces aren’t exactly the right length leaving gaps in places. The instructions are so bad, we basically had to guess a lot of the time. It is quite finicky to put together, you do definitely need two people. That being said, once it was built, we had a very happy little hamster running around in there. The lid doesn’t completely close - I doubt she is strong enough to lift it up but just to be safe we have put a couple of books to weigh it down on top. Just something to keep in mind. The top level had a few bits of the wood splintering off which is quite dangerous, we have scuffed it off but make sure you check for any shavings or loose bits of wood before you put your hamster in as it could be deadly.
Overall, it’s doing the job well. Moley is very happy with her upgrade. (instagram: @molestergram)

It’s alright
I brought this cage on the 4th March. It’s a good size for a hamster and gives your hamster alot of room. However I wouldn’t recommend the top floor to be built as they don’t got up while also being aware they will nibble it. I put some hard rocks around the edge ti prevent her from chewing it and using her chew toys. Worth it but just be pretend for your hamsters to chew it!

Good size hamster cage, not the best quality
The hamster cage itself is a very good size and one of few available of this size. The instructions almost make it more difficult to assemble. I would recommend installing the front clear panel last and installing the ramps/ladders when the platforms are not attached yet. Sandpaper will also be needed as there are lots of rough edges. Overall, we are happy with the cage, however, instructions could do with rearranging. You would expect better for the high price tag.

Large cage but difficult to clean
I’ve had this cage 2 weeks and it’s impossible to pull the draw out to clean if your using the correct level of substrate. If you go in from the top you can’t clean cage ad shelves are in the way. Be careful of the top provided hide as your hamster can escape from cage if he stands on this if you have the roof open.
Good for the square inches of floor space.

I bought this probably a month ago for my hamster she chewed through the cage and also then eventually chewed through the carpet leading to the floor boards!! Actually a rubbish cage and I DEFINITELY DON’T recommend this product at all

Not happy with the product what’s so ever it came damaged but couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of returning it very poorly bits of wood with cracks in and lid doesn’t shut or meet properly Chuck missing out of draw

Fatal design flaw
The cage is a great size for our two rats, until they managed to break it. Unfortunately the mesh on the roof is not physically attached to the frame. It is just rested in place and a small strip of wood stapled in place to cover the ends. The rats, Cheese and Crackers took about two weeks before pulling it out. I've stapled it in place myself.

Poorly made over priced
The design and size of this hamster cage are the best features …. However that is where it ends the quality of the wood and the way its cut are on the poor side to say the least - the wood was out of shape ! Which considering the £100 price tag makes it an ouch … if the cage had been priced more in portion with its quality far enough … or even if it had come made up but £100 for poorly cut plywood …
