Gorgeous.... from a distance! I repeat...from a distance!
Upon first opening up, this looks just stunning! A perfect fit and match for our newly decorated hallway.
However, there were 2 major issues!
1) the fittings on the back of the mirror were not aligned in a straight line!
Basically in the manufacturing process, someone had two fittings in their hand and just slapped them on. I'll leave it to your own imagination as to what expletives came out of my husbands mouth after he realised his first attempt to create holes in the wall to line up with the wonky fittings failed. He was absolutely furious (he's an engineer) that so little care was taken to attach the fittings - very poor manufacturing! And I was annoyed at having too many holes in my new wall!
2) Its not a true mirror!
If it wasn't for the above trauma (I just didn't dare ask my hubby to have to sort another mirror / hope I find one to cover the superfluous holes)... I would have returned this mirror, quick pronto. But I'm just going to have to put up with it sadly!
So, as to what I mean when I say it is not a true mirror... yes it reflects, yes it is not distorted... but its permanently DARK - it's like you need to switch on a light! Ermm... isn't the point that you want to see clearly? I can honestly say that I've never seen a 'grey reflecting mirror' and I couldn't have even imagined this as a possible problem when placing my purchase. So bizarre, and unbelievably disappointing!
Purchase and delivery process was all good.
2 stars is probably being a little too generous. I certainly won't be shopping here again as I simply cannot trust the quality.
