I purchased one to deter squirrels from digging up the lawn in a fairly large garden. It appeared to work at first but the effect wore off after two weeks or so, which is how long the batteries (two x 9v) lasted! Very disappointing.

Not entirely as described
This product is not exactly as described on the website. The description "Versatile energy supply – Can be battery or electric operated" fails to mention that it does not come with the facility to use mains electricity. You have to buy a 'Universal Power Kit' costing an extra £15 to do so. This should be clearly stated. I have not yet decided whether to order the power kit or just take the product back for a refund.

Waste of money!
Reason I brought this was to keep foxes away unfortunately this does not work at all as I’ve seen 3 foxes in my garden. This product is a waste of money!

Does not work
We had a Rat in the garden & I bought this to deter it from visiting. As you can see from the photo, the Rat is not bothered by it all.
The only thing that worked was finding it’s nest and removing it (no babies present), and unfortunately stop feeding the finches.

Squirrel pests
I bought this product recently and am sad to say it does not keep the squirrels out of my garden. I have tried it at different heights as they run along the back and side fences and drop down into the flower beds. So I planted it in the grass, in a flowerpot on a chair and then tilted the PIR to hit the top of the fence but am so disappointed. My garden is pretty wrecked this winter as last year seemed to be a bumper year for baby squirrels.. Yuk. The PIR has an angle of 60 degrees only so this may be why it is not effective.

Poor value
Batteries wear out very quickly so I would not recommend this item unless you are prepared to pay for it to be run on electricity
