Like the Curates Egg!!!
We recently bought this product thinking the retractable top would prove easy to use! Sadly because the pole provided is difficult to use to push the horizontal bar into position to fix and then even more difficult to release, it is necessary to get on a ladder and fix/release manually. Being elderly and less than agile, this was an important feature for us.
Some of the fixing holes did not line up and there was a dent ( probably because the packaging was damaged) and one post is out of line.
As we had to have someone erect it for us, the thought of dismantling it to return it was too much of a chore to contemplate, so we live with the imperfections.
To be fair it looks good erected, the canopy seems robust and does a good job of shading the area we want it to.
Think the fixing and releasing of the canopy needs addressing and a different method found, at least for people under 6 foot tall!!

It's decent, but you get what you pay for...
Our biggest point to note is it has eyelet holes evenly spaced on the sheeting (have a closer look at the photo & you'll see them).
For us, it is the biggest negative about the product & that's on us, as we hadn't noticed them on the photo when chose to buy it - only noticed once had put the frame up & went to put the sheet on.
Totally understand why they've put them on it, as guessing for drainage & air because otherwise water would collate & potentially cause issue.
For us, we really wanted a waterproof/shelter solution to cover a hot-tub area, so we can still use it if raining etc.
Build quality is okay, you can tell it's cheap primarily because where you connect two lengths together to make one long strut, the holes for fixing them don't match up with keeping both ends close together (approx 5mm out) - don't think it's a major issue, but slightly concerned about water getting inside due to this.
Whilst it's pretty sturdy once connected together, the leg connections do have a little play in them, even though has 4 bolts tightening them to the top struts, so have to be careful when moving it once built, as could easily stretch/break a connection if not careful.
Ours was also missing a bolt & washer for connecting two lengths of strut together, however the supplier did send a replacement out pretty quick to be fair to them.
There is also some marks on a couple bits of the plastic ends, like discolouration.
Moving the retractable sheeting is fairly easy, there's a metal stick with hook on included that you use to pull/push the bar/s to open/close.
One side of the sheeting is fixed by bolts, so only one side is free to open/shut & to fix it closed there are some pretty shallow plastic hooks in the middle for the sheet bar to latch onto. Initial use of this has found it doesn't take a lot to unhook itself, have used some bundgy cords are end side to help keep it in place for now..

Not worth the money
Disastrous delivery, damaged parts, difficult to contact to advise & slow response, extremely awkward to erect, needs 3 people in certain places, took 2 of us 4-5 hours, not worth the money paid, in our opinion it should be half the price - extremely disappointed
