More than just a panini grill
Bought this for my husband. He is really pleased with this (thank heavens for me) as it is more than just a panini grill. Have only used a few times but very pleased with the results. A very useful and adaptable grill

Works really well, this grill will do paninis that are as good as any you could buy from a cafe! Also use it for grilling meat, making toasties, all sorts. It seems quite hard wearing and can accept even the fattest of sandwiches, unlike some traditional toastie makers. If you are looking at a sandwich toaster I'd very much recommend taking the step up and buying this. My only slight quibble is that the plates could be slightly bigger to accommodate two bigger slices of bread but I am generally quite greedy and overall this is really good value.

Way too hot for sandwiches
It may be great for meat in the opened-up position, but it's way too hot to create a tosti sandwich with Ham and Cheese. The bread will burn and the cheese is still cold. Since the primary purpose to buy this product was to create hot sandwiches, we're very disappointed. A temperature control would be a welcome addition, or a slightly lower temperature.
