Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honest review I have had this kettle for over a month. Water is definitely cleaner and tastes better. I like it being made of glass as I had the plastic one before and the glass finishing is much better and cleaner. However, the filter tank is small. I often find myself filling the kettle up twice before boiling as I often use the kettle purified water for cooking. It is okay for cups of tea etc. but you'll find yourself boiling twice, maybe three or four times for say boiling water for pasta. As it is glass it is quite a heavy kettle that some may find too heavy with the water in it. Overall I am happy with the kettle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous kettle for hard water areas We bought the Russell Hobbs kettle with built in Brita Filter as our water is so hard, we were fed up of having to descale the kettle every couple of weeks. The Brita filter has been amazing built into this kettle and we haven’t had to descale the kettle at all. The only criticism is that the filter lasts about 4-6 week’s before it has to be replaced and they’re not cheap to buy. But having filtered water far outweighs this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product and service I bought this kettle as we have very hard water and our house also has old pipes which make the water slightly unpleasant tasting. However, this kettle has removed all tastes, colours and impurities from the water, and now teas and coffees taste completely different! This is a fast boiling kettle, although you have to wait for the water to drain through the filter firs which can take a minute or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality Great product, looks really good and edgy with the glass compartment and the blue led light as it boils. I've had it for a few months now and no problems what so ever. The only disavantadge is the plastic lid on top isn't as sturdy and good quality as the rest of the materials on the kettle. Filters water and boils at the same time (needs new filter every now and then). No lime scale.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from On the small side Despite it's rather cheap and nasty looks, it does the job and certainly reduces limescale in a very hard water area. However, the water hopper is too small, so you have to fill it twice to fill the kettle and the kettle it's self doesn't hold much water. I thought that it would reduce the hassle of having to filter water before filling the kettle, but overall it is a lot easier and cheaper to buy a water filter jug and use it to fill the kettle with filtered water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed with product We brought this kettle as our old faithful previous Russell Hobbs gave up the ghost after 10 years. We went for this hip designed kettle and wow we were not disappointed. It is impressive to look at, but the most important thing is the hot water within our tea and coffee tastes fantastic!! The filters last for approximately 4 weeks, you get one with the kettle when you purchase. I brought 6 filters for approximately £16 you can purchase them while in Robert Dyas!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Filter reservoir too small to be practical Kettle looks goods, reduces limescale and boils quickly, but the filter reservoir is too small! It has to be filled twice before it reaches the 4 cup/ 1 litre maximum boil capacity - which is still too little for any one who needs to make more than 2 cups of tea at a time. I have now removed the filter and reservoir from the kettle - filling the kettle from a large filter jug instead and using it as a standard kettle.

We live in a hard water area, and so the appeal of the filter ticked a huge box for us. We’d liked the idea of a glass kettle and although I was a little dubious, I have to say it looks fabulous when it comes to the boil with the blue lights \o/ And, it was a great price too!!!!

Robert Dyas offers a FREE Click and Collect service to Robert Dyas stores.

If you choose to have your order delivered to your local store, it is completely free and will be delivered within 5 working days (excluding Bank Holidays).

When your order arrives in your chosen store, we will e-mail you to advise that your order is ready for collection. Your order will be held in store for 7 days.

Standard Delivery

We aim to deliver items that are currently in stock within five (5) working days (excluding Bank Holidays) after the date the order is placed.

Unfortunately at this time we cannot take orders for delivery to British Forces Post Offices (BFPO), Freight Forwarders, international addresses or The Channel Islands (GY, JE).

The following areas are subject to extended lead times:

Next Day & Named Day Delivery

Our Next Day service to most of UK Mainland will be available for orders placed on the website from Monday to Friday before 3.00pm for a small additional charge (delivery on working days only). Orders placed after 3pm on a Friday will be delivered Tuesday.

You can also select a convenient day to receive your delivery by choosing a named day delivery (delivery on working days only).

Working days are Monday-Friday 8am-7pm inclusive, excluding Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.

Saturday Delivery

Orders placed before 3.00pm on a Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), can be delivered on a Saturday for an additional charge.



In the UK you have a legal right, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014, to cancel your order within fourteen (14) days following your receipt of the goods. Refunds for orders cancelled under the provisions of the Consumer Contracts Regulations will be processed in accordance with your legal rights.

You may not cancel orders for the following types of products:

  • Electrical/Technical products which have been unsealed
  • Customised or bespoke Products
  • Anything of a nature that for hygiene or associated health and safety - this includes the Outdoor Spas, Mattresses and Divan Sets
  • Fresh food

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations June 2014 you have a duty to take reasonable care of Products whilst they are in your possession. You will receive a full refund of the purchase price of the Products.

How To Return A Product

If you wish to return your item to Robert Dyas, you can do so by one of the following methods:

1. Request a Collection via Robert Dyas Customer Services

Contact our Customer Services team on 0333 103 6677 (Monday- Friday 08:00 - 20:00, Saturday-Sunday 09:00 - 17:00 - call charges may vary by network) or via email to: [email protected] who will be able to arrange a collection for your item. Please ensure that you provide your order number when contacting customer services.

If you are returning the item under your 14 day right to cancel, then a collection charge will be applied:

  • Products < 20kg: £7.50
  • Products > 20kg: £30

If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

2. Post back the item to the Robert Dyas Warehouse

Please do not attempt to return large or heavy products, including large kitchen appliances, outdoor furniture, indoor furniture etc to your local store.
