You don’t even need a bowl to accurately weigh dry ingredients on the Salter Frosted 10kg Digital Kitchen Scale. Just pour them directly onto the toughened frosted glass platform which can easily be wiped down and cleaned. If you need to measure larger quantities of mixed ingredients at the same time you can use your own mixing bowl, and the Add & Weigh function guarantees an accurate reading. Nice looking functional scales

Get with it!……give us a robust battery box!
Got what we expected and had hoped the fiddly battery box had been improved, but being generous, gave it 5 stars, because otherwise it was just what we wanted and allowed me to weigh a dressed goose with the added capacity of 10 kg……very pleased.

This is a good product. I selected it because it has buttons rather than those dreadful touch sensitive pads, it's angled display means that you can read the weight even if there is a large container on the scale and it measures liquid weights and weights up to 10kg double most other scales.

Good quality scale efficiently delivered

Great scales but might be faulty
Purchased to replace earlier version I purchased over 10 years ago (display had stopped working). However keep getting a flashing battery logo on display. I have changed the battery but logo appears again. Faulty???

Nice, but dim.
Pros: it's got a glass surface, which is presumably heat resistant. And the weighing platform is above the readout, so if you put a large plate on it, you can still read the display.
Cons: it's just a bit, well, dim. A bit like that friend that everyone's got, who laughs at the joke long after everyone else. The display keeps increasing after you've stopped adding to the bowl, as if it's thinking really hard about the problem and keeps changing its mind. I'm sure it's doing its very best, but this particular feature takes some getting used to. Plus, the construction is flimsy. The feet are glued on to the weighing platform, and are easily knocked in the rough-and-tumble of the average kitchen. Mine broke within a couple of months. My previous scales lasted nearly 25 years: these ones almost certainly won't.
