Potentially Dangerous with Multi-point Locks
Good Things: The Bold Smart Lock is well made and functions as designed.
Bad: The "Bold Lock" replaces a Euro Cylinder. You open the cylinder by turning the "wheel/knob" counter-clockwise, and close it by turning clockwise. The smart electronics simply allow or disallow the outside knob from operating. This means you cannot "open" the lock, but simply allow it to be opened for a specified period.
Our main use of the lock was to be able to let specified users enter and exit the house. To exit the house involves: 1. Rotate knob counter-clockwise, 2. Press Button on Lock, 3. Open door, 4. Close door, 5. Raise Multi-point Handle, 6. Rotate outside knob clockwise. No problem for us, but too complex to instruct a 3rd party. And, most importantly, there is no indication to confirm that the door has been locked correctly! So, for example, if the 3rd party does not raise the multipoint handle, the door will be left insecure without any indication to you, or the 3rd party.
