The rats clearly get at the bait as it always disappears. I hope hedgehogs etc. don't get in.

Cute Rat!
Saw a rat in my garden and panicked. Bought this rat killer product which I had used before with complete success - rats disappeared from garden within 2 days. However, this time, although I bought it I decided it was not nature friendly to use it and tried putting cotton wool dipped in peppermint essence where I had seen the rat and in a few other places round the garden. Rats hate strong odours like peppermint, chili etc. and I haven't seen a rat since. However, if you dont feel bad about killing rats then this produce used in the correct box definitely works.
