Thompson & Morgan 1 x Viburnum Opulus Roseum 9cm Pot
- Overview
- Reviews
A popular, easy to grow shrub which thrives in the English climate. Viburnum opulus Roseum is a bushy, deciduous shrub with pretty leaves, shaped similarly to an Acer, and which turn shades of purple and red by the autumn. The frothy, white flower heads have caused the shrub to become known as the Snowball Tree, and those blooms make excellent cut flowers for vases indoors too. The flower heads open during May and June with a green tinge, becoming pure white over a few weeks. Often seen marketed as Viburnum opulus 'Sterile', this synonym hints at its inability to produce berries. However its showy blooms and superb autumn colours, more than make up for this. Height and spread: 4m (12).
