So nice to be able to choose different temperatures, really nice kettle. Very satisfactory so far. It is a good quality product.

Leaky kettle follow by customer service nightmare!
I bought this kettle easily. The website was great to use and check out. That's the good bit.
As soon as it arrived, I cleaned it by boiling water in it twice. Each time, when I went to pour the water out, it poured nicely from the spout but also gushed from the section where the plastic met the glass. Clearly, not a kettle I could keep. What followed was prolonged agony as I tried to return it.
I sent an email informing customer services that the kettle was faulty and that I would like to return it. I received an automated email saying it could take up to three days for a reply. Four days later someone called me and said that I could return it and that a courier would be in touch. The earliest date the courier could collect it was five days after the phone call. Five days came and went without any contact from a courier.
I emailed again and received another automated response saying it would take up to three days to get a response.
Three days later I was told to cut the cord of the kettle and send photographic evidence of this. I did this immediately, emailed the evidence and then waited yet another three days before I had a response to tell me that I would receive a refund and I had to dispose of the destroyed kettle myself now. The refund took three more days to appear in my account. I waited until I received the refund before writing this review that they have been pestering me for.
All in all, a dreadful experience with customer service means that, not only will I not be purchasing anything else from Robert Dyas, but I will be telling my friends and family to steer clear too. I know we British are not well known for good customer service, but I have not experienced anything so awful in a long time!
