Introducing GripIt® ‘The World’s Ultimate Plasterboard Fixing’. They’re ultra-strong plasterboard fixings with a revolutionary design that provide a strong support for mirrors and paintings weighing up to 148kg.

Gripit plasterboard fixings allow you to hang heavy stuff to plasterboard. A single Gripit Red fixing holds up to 74kg* - making it the perfect anchor kit for hanging mirrors and pictures. Installation requires a drill (with 18mm flat drill bit), a hammer and a screwdriver (not supplied). Simply Drill, Tap & Turn. No need for timber studs, brickwork anchor points or additional modifications - saving time, effort and money.

Features and Benefits

Versatile and strong - Fixing adjusts to the thickness of the plasterboard while anti rotational fins prevent fixing from moving or slipping once installed. Retractable wings open in the cavity to deliver maximum hold without comprimising the strength of the plasterboard.

Impressive strength – GripIt® provides peace of mind when hanging heavy items onto plasterboard walls. Hanging flat screen TVs, mirrors, pictures, shelves, gadgets and much more, onto plasterboard walls has never been so easy!

Unique 3-way gripping system – Designed with a unique 3-way gripping system which creates a vice-like hold in plasterboard, with just a simple drill, tap, turn installation. Once drilled, the unique backing wings expand inside the cavity to provide a secure anchor, creating a strong grip on the plasterboard.

For best results use the FixIt 18mm drill bit to create the hole required for installation:

FixIt Installation Instructions

1. Drill
Make sure to check there is no wiring or services before you drill. Mark out your centre line for where you want to install your GripIt, and then drill the required holes in the plasterboard using the correct sized GripIt hole cutter or a flat drill bit.

2. TapGripIt Correct Angle
Position the fixing in the hole, the end with the metal wings first, and gently tap it into the hole squarely until it settles flush with the wall surface. Please ensure that when you place the fixing in the hole, that the fitting is as shown right. This gives maximum strength when the wings are opened.

3. Turn
Lock the fixing into position by using a flat screwdriver and turning the central screwdriver slot clockwise. To remove the fixing simply screw counter-clockwise.

4. Which Screw should I use?
GripIt® is designed to accept screws of various lengths provided that the tip of the screw, when fully inserted, does not make contact with solid material within the wall space. To determine the maximum length of screws, measure the thickness of the item to be secured to the wall and then add a minimum of 15 to 20mm for GripIt® threading.
