The timber used to build this product has been pressure treated for durability and longevity and is likely to still have some green spotting on it as a result. There is no need to worry about these small dots as they are perfectly normal and will disappear within just a few weeks. Wood is a natural material and will inevitably move and warp slightly with time. If your wood splits or cracks with the passing seasons there is no need for concern, this is a natural by-product of timber construction.
Please Note: You cannot return this item due to green spotting, as this is a result of the product being treated, and it will fade over time

This is the best garden obelisk I've ever purchased. It's well constructed, easy to put together and is now a feature in our garden. My wife has now decided to replace another three metal old decaying obelisks to I will certainly be reordering.

Adds a nice feature to the garden border
Very quick delivery. It needed to have holes drilled for assembly, which I knew in advance, and it is "rustic" quality, which I was expecting for the price. I chose this design so that to would match the square trellis on top of the fence, which it does. It makes a nice feature in the border.

Really pleased
I wanted to purchase this last year but it was out of stock, so glad I managed to get one this year. Excellent quality and when it arrived I was very pleasantly surprised to find it needed hardly any putting together. Really sturdy and good quality wood.

The Obelisk is great, we are very pleased.
My only complaint is that it was wrapped in double the amount of plastic than was actually required. Would have preferred that it was delivered in a box.

Useful Garden Plant Support
A little fragile as only stapled together but I pinned the joints before assembly and structure pretty solid once completed. Perfectly adequate for my purposes.

Very easy to put together and sturdy when erected. We used a couple of large tent pegs to stop it falling over as we are growing a clematis through it.

Garden obelisk
Bought for my mum for Christmas put it together for her was pretty straight forward although no pre drilled holes so had to get the drill out. Also one of the lats had come away from the frame. But overall good quality for the price.

Looking good
I bought this to take a rose and clematis in a new border. It arrived with a bit broken at the edge. It says screw in to pre drilled holes but you have to pre drill them yourself. I am very capable of doing this task but some may not find it so easy. I glue repaired the break and have painted it a classic cream and I am very happy with it . I am ordering another for the opposite corner.

The Snowden Obelisk was seamless purchase and delivery process and the home delivery was as schedule. As the product is a mass produced kit construction item, they varied in the quality of fit from part to part, but final product acceptable and does what is intended to do.

Disappointing item but good response.
This was more flimsy than I had hoped and had been damaged when I received it. I was able to return it and receive a full refund so Robert Dyas dealt with this correctly.

Bought two. Looked good and no problems with assembly.
Stood them in approximate position to give a while for final decision, but wind took one over. That revealed the inadequacy of the thin staples holding all the slats in place!
Have bought 400 screws to strengthen all the joints. Not expensive, but time consuming.

Bought 2. Easy to assemble, sections are a good fit. Trellis type timbers stapled but staples too short and had to screw cross pieces to frame. Pity because everything else is quality and they look great

On delivery the Obelisk was damaged. A replacement was ordered and this had parts falling off it. The Obelisk is poorly made. It has no predrilled holes as stated in the instructions. The horizontal slates do not line up once you have built the Obelisk. Overall poor quality of workmanship

calling it rubbish would be a complement. very poor quality, cross pieces coming detached before I started to put it together. if it lasts a season I will be lucky. don't buy it

Delivered a week ago , but tracking says out for delivery next week ! Left in back garden in heat and rain as we were away and no notification received , ok third party delivery but very poor comms with Robert Dyas .
You might as well buy four pieces of trellis and screw together , this is lightweight and not sure it will withstand the least bit of winter weather . Cannot recommend

Several horizontal bars immediately fell off when unpacking! Flimsy staples not good enough to make it sturdy had to use dozens of screws to improve it....dont buy

Construction is not simple!
Obelisk quality looks acceptable, but construction is NOT, as advertised, 'simple'. It requires an electric drill and the know-how to drill a dozen 3mm holes into the slim edges of batons, all before putting it together.! Plus, there are no diagrams explaining exactly where to make the holes, just vague wording. Fine for some, and I usually enjoy flat-pack jobs, but for this I would need to pay/find someone to do this.
