The timber used to build this product has been pressure treated for durability and longevity and is likely to still have some green spotting on it as a result. There is no need to worry about these small dots as they are perfectly normal and will disappear within just a few weeks. Wood is a natural material and will inevitably move and warp slightly with time. If your wood splits or cracks with the passing seasons there is no need for concern, this is a natural by-product of timber construction.
Please Note: You can not return this item due to green spotting, as this is a result of the product being pressure treated, and it will fade over time

Smart arch
Bought this a few weeks ago and am really pleased with the result. Took a few weeks to be delivered but did turn up within the stated timescale. Fairly easy to put together although I used the manufacturer's instructions on their website as the hard copy provided wasn't a great quality. You do need a bit of space, preferably flat to put it together. I also found it easier to paint it before putting together. Because of the height I used some post spikes to secure it. Worth considering this or concrete as it is not stable enough to be freestanding due to its height. Overall really pleased

When it arrived, it was self assembly but the instructions were easy to follow and within a couple of hours it was erected. Looks great in the garden and is quite a feature.

Simple assembly
I bought this to adapt to existing supports which were in place for a previous arch. Beware that the overall depth dimension given is not over the posts but over the cross beams. So I had to make my own, but that was no problem. Given that the posts are further apart than as manufactured, I used some of the original cross pieces to support the trellis. The trellis is made of fairly thin members and it will be interesting to see how long they will last. Everything is pressure treated and no additional treatment should be applied for at least 6 months. For some of the joints I used slightly longer and beefier screws that those supplied. The wood is fairly soft, so don't have your power screwdriver on too high a torque setting.

Arch of the Day.
Arrived on time flat packed..On un packing the wood although semi treated was very rough to touch and needed sanding and definitely retreating or dyeing. From what i can see in accessory pack instructions are poor and may need smart phone to read QR code..

Poor packaging and quality but nice eventually
Arrived very badly packaged. 5 parts were damaged/poor quality. Replacements were sent quite quickly but took 2 attempts to get all of the parts needed and in acceptable condition. The arch is quite easy to build and seems quite sturdy. So a disappointing start but ok in the end.

Item arrived as stated , arch is great if you not tall as I am . Easy to put up , need 2 persons to do this . Used my own screws for project .Arch could do with posts being another 3-6 inches in length . (item purchased for my mother).

Ok but a bit too short
The trellis was half off when it arrived With very poor in inadequate packing. My husband had to nail trelis back together. And the posts are shorter than I thought an arch should be. Someone tall would have to duck to walk under neither.

Will think twice about ordering online again, although it arrived faster than expected some parts where bent and twisted and had to be replaced the trellis parts had to be repaired as they were broken and modified to make fit

Brought online delivered direct by manufacturer. We thought it would be in 3built up sections. But no holes were drilled and you had to assemble everything except the side trellis. Not for the non diyer

I can live with the poor, splintery cuts but for the cut outs to be made on dead-knots - one of which had already fallen out on arrival - is not acceptable. Surely this should have been spotted before it left the factory. Waiting for Robert Dyas response for replacement but I wanted to construct this now while I'm on holiday.
