These batteries mean I have my old landline phone set that I bought over 15 years ago. I am a right old eco-warrior and although the initial outlay seems a lot they really do save you money and the time it takes to keep buying and replacing batteries. Now I can keep my handset or another 5 years! It might even come back in fashion. My dad will also be able to chew my ear off on a Sunday instead of my old rechargeable batteries, which lasted about 8 years, cutting him off after an hour ah well you cant have it all.
