Powerful fan
This fan is fantastic. Its heavy so the kids don't push it over. There are 3 settings that are all very powerful which in my opinion is perfect for this relentless hot weather we are having. It is noisy but not loud enough to put me off using it in the kids bedroom, or my own...if I ever get it back! Failing that this is now the only 'simple, does what it says on the tin' fan I will be buying again for all the other rooms. Bring on the winter I say!

Lovely fan but too noisy and powerful
This is a very nice looking fan, and well made. We bought it for our bedroom, which gets very hot, as I wanted something that looked nice. Unfortunately though it is far too powerful, the low setting is like a small jet engine!!
It was easy to put together, with clear instructions. The tilt mechanism isn’t very effective - you have to really crank the knob tight and even then it easily slips.
And the description of ‘near silent operation’ is just wrong! It is very noisy.

What Customer Service?
Fair enough we live in difficult times but where was the Customer Service? Recieved an email that my order was to be delivered on a certain day. On the day I checked the couriers tracking to find that they had not received the item. There is no direct contact with Dyas only a web message system, to which I recieved no reply till after the order was delivered nearly a week later. I recieved no advice from Dyas that the order had been despatched but I did receive a text from the courier advising that the item was to be delivered at a certain time period on that day. A letter to Robert Dyas has also been ignored. Think twice before buying from this company, I will not use them again.
