Dualit's ground-breaking Perfect Toast Technology will calculate the temperature of your toaster and surroundings to derive the precise toasting time for consistently golden brown toast with minimal effort! Equally, if you like your toast browned to a certain level then you’ll love the Peek & Pop function, which lets you check on how well toasted your slice is looking without breaking the heat cycle.
Its glossy black finish is cool to the touch for safety and both slots are extra wide (36mm) to toast those thick slices of fresh crusty bread. The bagel function perfectly toasts one side of your bun or bagel, and once it's ready to serve, the extra high lift function ensures there will be no more fiddling to try get those delicious hot cross buns served.
What's more, if you’re in a rush you can add slices straight from the freezer thanks to the defrost function, and if your toast is golden brown before you expected, simply hit the cancel button for the perfect breakfast!

A good performing toaster
The toaster arrived quickly. The toaster works well and toasts very evenly over the whole slice. The toaster requires a sandwich loaf so we have to cut off a bit of the top for our home made bread. Not a problem.

Expensive, but gives perfect full-size toast.
Very expensive, but according to Which magazine, it's the cheapest available toaster which will take full-size slices of bread and toast them evenly, both of which it does perfectly.

Nice even toasting
I bought this to replace a different make that toasted so unevenly I had to watch it and turn the toast 2 or 3 times to even it out. This Dualit toasts very evenly. It also has buttons for toasting bagels (toasts the inside when sliced in half, not the outside) and frozen bread. Only downside is if you use a home breadmaker machine you may have to reduce your loaf size to "medium" instead of "large" so the whole area of the slice including the rounded top fits in the toaster and is toasted. (Haven't tried regular sliced bread - it may fit). Delivery was flawless

Bought this toaster after researching it on Which and it came out as a Best Buy it really is an excellent toaster and as my daughter has had a Dualit toaster for a trouble free 30 years I'm hoping for a similar outcome.

Dualit 2 slot Lite Toaster
Like a lot of people we debated whether to spend that ampunt on a toaster. We shouldn't have worried as it's the best toaster we've had and there have been many. The only downside is the large sticking out knob that does sometimes get caught and fell it's probably the part that, in the future, might break 1st. Other than that been very good and well worth the money.

Disappointing Dualit
First one returned immediately, as it failed to toast on one side. Replacement toasts very lightly on one side. Dualit have always been famous for their toasters, but I think they have lost the plot with this one.

A bit disappointed

Uneven toasting when toasting single alice
Does not toast single slice evenly (not mentioned on box or by Which? Magazine who rated it Best Buy) - one side come out much paler than the other. It does mention this halfway through the booklet but had I known this I wouldn't have bought it.

NOT repairable
After about 18 months of light use the centre element disintegrated and led to shorting out against the cage. annoying, I thought - I will have to get a new element. Knowing that Dualit is an old-fashioned British company that builds things to last and be repaired, I got in touch with them and was disgusted to be told that the Lite models are non-repairable straight to landfill rubbish. This is the sort of thing that the new "right to repair" legislation has been brought in. Shame on you Dualit. You have trashed a once excellent reputation.
