Excellent hedge trimmer
Bought a couple of weeks ago and used it for the first time the other day. Very well made, real quality and cut my hawthorn hedge lift a knife through butter.

Well made hedge trimmer.
Have used trimmer once so far. Takes a little getting use to when extended to its full height.
Chose this model because of the position of the motor. (ie) near the handle instead of the cutting blade.

Works well
Used it once so far, very pleased with the results. Not too heavy, fairly easy to manipulate, nice long lead (used it with a 50m extension lead plugged into a circuit breaker socket). Chops through small to medium hedge clippings with ease. It's not a chainsaw so don't expect it to cut through one inch branches.

Great bit of kit
I bought this recently as my hedge was getting a bit high for using my normal hedge trimmer and a ladder. It was reasonably easy to assemble although I’m still struggling to lock the shoulder strap (no instructions on how to do so), so that I can get some support. It cuts well and rotating the cutting head is relatively easy to do. Without the use of the shoulder strap I do find it a little heavy. But overall very happy with the product.

Very light.
The best hedge trimmer I have bought. It's well balanced due to the motor being at the handle end and not at the cutter end. I would recommend this cutter as it's very light.

delighted with einhell pole hedge trimmer
I bought the hedge trimmer earlier this month to replace one I had before. Although it is a little heavy the weight is very well balanced and is easy to use (even for a seventy eight year old) and I hope to be using it for many years to come.

Hedge cutter
I bought this to replace my Ryobi hedge cutter as i had damaged it and couldn't get the replacement parts anymore (over 10 years old). The first thing I noticed is the Einhell is much better balanced than the Ryobi, also you can use it as a conventional hedge cutter if you take out the extension pieces which just click into position and it gives a good finish to the hedge. Fully recommended, I wish I had bought it years ago instead of struggling with the Ryobi with it's balance issues.

Better than I thought
Exceeded expectations . Bought because of a sensible review which said the motor at the end of the handle helped balance the weight . I was concerned as at 88 I no longer have the strength or even general fitness to do what I used to. Now used it three times ,the last at full extension . Delighted with result ..

After purchasing this it took me a couple of weeks to be able to use it. That was down to getting the time to be able too.

As I am a subscriber to the Daily Telegraph, I ordered a pole type hedge-cutter from Robert Dyas through that paper's Subscriber Benefits. As I am an octogenarian, the trimmer proved to be heavier than I anticipated so I wished to cancel the purchase. This process was extremely good.as I was able to take my purchase to the local branch of Robert Dyas who processed the return of my payment into my Bank immediately. (Clearly, it is not appropriate for me to complete the questions about the actual item which I had bought but the arrangements with the DailyTelegraph and Robert Dyas deserve full marks for their services).

Does the job well.
I am on my second Einhell pole hedge trimmer after the motor failed on the first but thankfully just within the 2 year warranty period. Took a refund but still purchased a replacement. If you have tall hedges it is ideal. It has a good reach which can be increased with the extension pole and you can cut the top of the hedge without the use of a ladder. Although on the heavy side most of the weight is from the motor at the bottom end so it feels lighter in use especially if you use the supply strap.

Useful tool
Less heavy than traditional trimmer it replaced and safer than using a ladder. Took a while to find appropriate blade angle. More difficult to achieve an even cut on Leylandii, because the greater distance between hands and blade obviously allows less control.

It did the job without an issue.
We bought this extendable hedge trimmer as an extra for our garden armoury. We have an 8 foot privet hedge and we were struggling to reach the top with a ladder. This extendable trimmer is good quality but quite heavy (too heavy for me) - my husband just about managed it. The motor is at the bottom which helps to balance the weight. There is a shoulder strap included which again helps to balance the weight. We managed OK. It did cut through some fairly thick branches without an issue. As cutting the hedge is usually only a twice-yearly job, the weight is not enough of an issue not to buy it (and I looked at loads online and they're all heavy!) We would recommend it.
