The Beckwood Shiplap Pressure Treated Apex Shed from Forest has a traditional and sturdy design and is built in Britain for Britain. Built to withstand the elements, the shed can store anything from a simple spade to bikes, fishing equipment or outward-bound gear! The shed's improved FULLY modular design features smaller sections, same size panels are fully interchangeable. The shed is made using robust, interlocking, weather-beating pressure-treated shiplap cladding throughout, giving it a watertight seal. Supported by 30%-thicker framing than found on most wooden sheds, this shed is constructed to last.
Why Choose a Forest Shiplap Beckwood Shed?
Supplied with a market-leading 25-year anti-rot guarantee as standard, Beckwood Sheds are robust, durable and packed full of premium features. Their tight, interlocking shiplap tongue & groove construction forms an unbeatable weatherproof seal and makes for an exceptionally attractive appearance.
Features and Benefits
If you want to buy a Great British shed that offers more than just plain, old garden storage, choose a Forest Beckwood Shed. Supplied with a market-leading 25-year anti-rot guarantee as standard, Forest Beckwood Sheds are robust and durable, offering weather-beating performance. The tightly-interlocking boards ensure the shed remains completely weathertight, while the shiplap’s scalloped profile provides excellent rainwater runoff.
1. Weather beating 12mm shiplap tongue & Groove construction
Beckwood sheds are built from interlocking 12mm shiplap tongue & groove boards, which are robust, durable and supremely weathertight. The tightly-interlocking boards ensure the shed remains completely weathertight, while shiplap’s scalloped profile provides excellent rainwater runoff.
2. Metal Roof Truss Brackets
Larger apex models feature a metal roof truss bracket, which adds strength to the roof and ensures best alignment (not available on sizes below 7x7).
3. High-Quality Roof with Durable High-Grade Felt
The Beckwood shed range roofs are built from tough 8mm OSB and fitted with a mineral-felt cover for complete weatherproof protection. Don’t underestimate the importance of a high-quality roof as it is your shed’s first line of defence against the elements.
4. Increased Security Windows
The windows are made from acrylic glazing and provide an abundance of natural light. These windows are completely shatterproof and will neither discolour nor fade over time. You can install them in a variety of positions - the choice is yours.
5. Pressure Treated Fully Interchangeable Modular Construction
Pressure treated and supplied with an extraordinary 25-year anti-rot guarantee, which is the longest guarantee on the market, the wood will never need retreating against rot, sparing you the inconvenience of costly, time-consuming maintenance and providing you with an unbeatably durable shed.
Featuring a complete modular design, these workshops are delivered to you in smaller sections of interchangeable panels, so you'll find them much easier to assemble than other wooden sheds. This modular design also allows you flexibility with door and window placements, helping you customise the shed to your exact requirements.
6. Thicker Timber Framing for Increased Stength
These sheds come with a 28mm x 56mm frame, which is 30% thicker than most wooden sheds. This extra framing ensures even greater strength and stability. These garden sheds aren't just easier to assemble and more versatile than other wooden sheds, they're far stronger too.
7. Hidden Security Hinges
Beckwood doors are fitted with hidden security hinges, which cannot be tampered with from the outside.
8. Robust Doors with Double Z Framing
Far stronger and more secure than those found on other wooden sheds, Forest Beckwood Shed doors are reinforced with sturdy double-Z framing. This prevents them from warping, sagging or dropping.
9. Secure Heavy Duty Pad Bolt
The doors are also fitted with a secure heavy-duty traditional pad bolt (padlock not included).
10. Sturdy Interlocking Tongue and Groove Boarded Floor
The robust and stable 12mm tongue and groove floor is elevated by pressure-treated joists for extra protection from ground moisture. Due to its thickness, a tongue and groove floor improves the shed’s level of insulation and will neither buckle under the weight of heavier items nor regular footfall.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained
The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.
This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.
VACUUM
Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.
FLOODED
Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.
PRESSURE
Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.
VACUUM
Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.
DRY
Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.
