Shred up to six sheets at once with this Robert Dyas 6-sheet cross-cut paper shredder. Instead of cutting the paper only lengthways, it cuts widthways too, making it much harder to read important information. Plus, the pieces store more compactly in the waste bin so you can empty it less frequently.
There’s plenty of space for lots of paper thanks to the 15-litre mesh bin, and if you’re shredding lots there’s no need to worry about it overheating – this shredder comes with overheat protection.

Fast and easy
Our old shredder broke and I bought this as a replacement. The old one would stop after about 30 minutes of shredding and had a smaller basket to collect the shredded paper in. It would also spill everywhere when you removed the basket. This one keeps going, holds more and the shredded paper doesn't spill everywhere when you empty it. Very happy with it (even though I missed out on the sale price by 2 weeks!)

A smart/good looking home shredder
Decided on a cross shredder as the best type. I love the fact that the bin is see through and smart looking. The shredder dealt with a pile of old bank papers easily- I did them gradually by shredding a page or two at a time and limiting it to half a minute a time as I know that some machines get hot and have to be left for a while before continuing. Am very pleased with it.

This is an excellent shredder, robust and easy to use. My only small gripe is about the recommended Fellowes shredder oil. It does its job, but without instructions from the manufacturer on the bottle, opening it can be a time-wasting puzzle.

I did research Cross Cut Paper Shredders and after reading the reviews I decided to purchase Robert Dyas own brand. I'm very pleased that I did. The Shredder is strong and sturdy with a wire mesh basket so you can see how full it is. It's not as noisy as my previous one. Very good value.
