Looks amazing on the work top!!!
I bought this after seeing it at my friends apartment and it just stood out. It looks great on the work top especially with the heat changing led lights. Great purchase.

Pretty (and) hot!
Bought as a gift. Recipients are really pleased and enjoy watching it ("a watched pot does actually boil"!). They are in an area where water is not too hard so hope limescale will not spoil the look of the kettle as time goes on.

Various niggles
Quite a few niggles for me that made this a 2/5 (I'm living with it but wouldn't recommend or buy again):
- It's a functional kettle but not so pretty if you live in a hardwater area as limescale accumulates within days and is very visible on the base and glass.
- Minimum fill of 0.5L is not so efficient if all you want is a cup of coffee
- It doesn't automatically switch off if you pick it up before it boils - so will continue heating when you place it back on the base.
- You have to be careful to hold it by the middle of the handle to avoid escaping steam zapping your hand when you pour!

I thought the kettle looked nice. However..... it is really slow to boil and the minimum amount you can boil is quite a lot. Based on this, I wouldn’t buy it again.

Didnt last long.
Had this just over a year. The lid has broken away & also now switches off before it boils. Colour of the glass is not as obvious as in the pictures. Real shame.

Worked five moths and stopped
Worked fine the past five months and suddenly stopped working for no reason.
Really frustrating as don’t know how and where to get a replacement!!!

Kettle was faulty
It was faulty and had to be returned. The kettle knocked out the trip switch and then one side of led lights don't work

Looks nice that's all.
Do not buy this kettle. Lasted 6mths. It still lights up but won't boil. It's plastic not glass and discolours quickly, and can't remove it. Salter didn't want to know even though it was guaranteed for 12mths.

Terrible product, only lasted 1 year!!!
Started pouring out water just after one year of use (conveniently). Do yourself a favour don’t buy it and don’t buy from Robert Dyas as they have been far from helpful with their ridiculous automated chat line that isn’t mobile optimised.

The steam burns
We've had the kettle a few weeks now and we're disappointed with it. The steam from the spout burns your hand when you pour out hot water. It's a bad design although the iridescent glass does look nice.

Looks good, but thats about it.
Got this for my visually impaired daughter, first time she used it she burnt her hand as steam came out of handle, when I had a closer look you could see steam coming through the on off switch. Taking it back for refund. E mailed salter they were useless.
