Log chest
Bought the log chest recently. Robert Dyas had it on a special offer. Was a very good buy. So pleased with it. Well constructed. Plenty of room to store my logs. I assembled it myself. No problems.

Excellent Log Chest!
I bought the Zest4Leisure Log Chest about a month ago and my husband and I put It together, we found it very easy to assemble. It came with pre-drilled holes and the way we fitted the hinges for the lid means that the lid does not fold all the way back, but stays upright making it very easy for us to put logs in or take them out. It fitted perfectly a large bag of 8 - 10 inch logs. We are very pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.

Wooden Storage Chest
I bought this in order to store plants during the winter months and when frosts are predicted. It was great just what I wanted I lined the inside panels with insulation material is is brilliant and the natural look of the chest fits in with other garden fixtures

Good product
My son-in-law put this together in about an hour and a half - with just a bit of help from me. Good instructions, but one or two holes misaligned - he had to improvise. After filling with logs, I checked after two torrential rain spells, and the logs seemed dry.

Excellent product let down by botched panel fixing
This is a good product let down by botched panel construction on one panel. Don't listen to the comments about no pre-drilled holes etc, this product is easy to set up and the instructions are perfectly clear. I'd argue it's better to make your own holes after holding the parts in position because this is a natural product and pre-drilled holes might not line up properly. Some say they didn't get all the necessary screws but that wasn't an issue for us. The box is nice and solid and has kept some heavy rain out. It's a great size for us and the only improvement I'd make is to provide a lid support as it's quite heavy if you're taking a few logs out at a time. Generally, this is a good product, easy to set up and does the job perfectly. The one quibble we have is that the screws / nails at the top of the back panel (where the hinges fix) had been bodged. Some screws had snapped and a couple of nails had bent and simply been hammered flat / curled into the top of the spar. I had to unravel 3 nails and remove broken screw shafts so I could replace and support the panel. It was easy to fix but shouldn't have been necessary.

Solid construction but needs extra fittings
Bought this recently , it’s well made and easy to put together even though it lacks pilot holes which isn’t a big deal what it does need is a handle to lift the chest lid and a metal arm to hold the lid up while you get the logs out

Does the job but could have been better
A very good-sized storage box. Timber is a bit rough and ready but then that's what I expected for a log store. Went together easily even though the supposedly 'pre-drilled' holes were no where to be seen. Incorrect hinges were included and some of the edging timber on the lid was broken but, like I said, it's a good size box and it went together in less than a hour. Delivery was quick and the driver very helpful.

Smart appearance
We bought and built - with some challenges over attaching the lid - this smart looking, practical, competitively priced log store. Imagine our dismay to find the top leaks. Very disappointing as we will now have to add an asphalt covering.

Rough & Ready
I've just taken delivery of this and was disappointed with the roughness of the timber. That can be sorted with a good sanding but what is really poor is that there is not a single pre-drilled hole in sight. Going to make assembly more difficult than it should be.

Allow time to repair and drill!
Panels were warped and planks had become detached on side panels. Holes for assembly were not pre drilled so this is not just a quick assembly it’s a project!
