Perfect for holidays
Bought this for outings. It keeps liquid extra cold, which is lovely when it is very hot. It can also be used for hot drinks in winter. Similar to a flask, but lighter.

This (very small) drink bottle looks nice and stylish and keeps your liquids cold (or hot!) very well.
The problem is that the lid has a deep, narrow recess where the neck of the bottle is held when screwed on. This creates a bacteria trap which is next to impossible to clean adequately.
The upshot of this is, after a few days of use, with washing up between fills, the bottle starts to smell. Like a musty, damp smell. This is very off-putting!
I've tried pouring hot water over the lid and it's recess after washing as best I can and cleaning the neck of the bottle with detergent. Re-fill the bottle with cold water and after a few minutes of the lid being on, the smell is back when you next go to drink from it.
Given that this is a drink bottle, the idea is presumably that we drink directly from the bottle.
I'm afraid this bottle is not fit for purpose in this respect.
I've had many other drink bottles in the past and never had such an experience.
This bottle appealed to me because of its compact size and the thermal insulation qualities claimed. This it does well, but it is not suited to drinking from.
I would say avoid this.

If you choose to have your order delivered to your local store, it is completely free and will be delivered within 5 working days (excluding Bank Holidays).
When your order arrives in your chosen store, we will e-mail you to advise that your order is ready for collection. Your order will be held in store for 7 days.

How To Return A Product
If you wish to return your item to Robert Dyas, you can do so by one of the following methods:
1. Request a Collection via Robert Dyas Customer Services
Contact our Customer Services team who will be able to arrange a collection for your item. Please ensure that you provide your order number when contacting customer services.
If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
2. Visit Your Local Robert Dyas Store
Whether you bought the product in store, online or over the phone, most of our products can be returned to a Robert Dyas stores. Please bring your order confirmation as proof of purchase. Please do not attempt to return large or heavy products, including large kitchen appliances, outdoor furniture, indoor furniture etc to your local store. If in doubt of whether you should return a product to your local store, please contact customer services first.
