Very good fan/light, quiet BUT…
Very good fan/light, quiet, BUT installation was an absolute pig. Tutorial vid from the QR code shown on YouTube suddenly cuts when 2 problem installation stages are reached. I’m an electrician of over 40 years experience but would never be able to install in 90 mins, took me nearly all day. If you have a looped wire lighting system you will certainly have to put cables in junction box either in loft or void above ceiling so carpet/floorboard’s may need to be lifted in that room above. If it had been designed with a larger cover at the ceiling, the base of your existing ceiling rose could have been utilised, with more space also for remote control receiver and cabling. As it is there was just enough room.. a tight squeeze even with junction box in loft. Video briefly shows the remote receiver installed in vertical position, it isn’t.. should be horizontally at top. With the cabling surrounding it, it’s fiddly. The other problem is the light bulb cluster, the 3 magnets are weak and supposed to hold it in position but because the feed wires cannot be pushed back up (fan would hit them!), the thickness of the wires drops cluster down onto the screw-in glass light cover, again this is where video cuts away! I had to improvise and “wedge” one side of cluster and the other side is held in place with a hair-pin (not supplied!!), not ideal. This fan/light cannot be used with dimmer switch. The fan is large in size hence efficient. Many bolts, washers etc supplied were not needed so suspect this is an upgraded model. Supplied with a balancing kit, for my fan it wasn’t needed. Has produced really nice welcomed cool air in recent hot weather. Have had it going all night on setting 1, it’s quiet. 6 speed settings. Remote control’s the speed, light, reverse, time duration of 2,4, or 8 hours plus other functions, no getting out of bed! Has reverse fan rotate for winter to help trapped warm heat at ceiling level circulate around room. Although I’m very happy with the performance, had I known what I know now about installation I would not have purchased, which is a shame. If you do buy and are wise enough to get an electrician in, be prepared for a few expletives.

If you are not at home when we try to collect we reserve the right to deduct from your refund or charge your credit card the direct costs to us of the failed return in accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
