Waterproof BlueTooth Speaker
It is absolutely a waterproof Bluetooth speaker. I have used it in outdoor activities (cycling with it in rainy conditions) and the water droplets are retained on the surface of the speaker mesh for a long while without a splash into the mesh. It demonstrated its waterproof for a whole as shown on the attached photo. I am totally satisfied with its waterproof & its cost-effective.

Sounds great
I haven't had the chance to test the weather proof side of things yet, however this is a great looking light speaker with great sound.
The radio could be better but I'm sure that's more to do with location that quality.

Crackles on low volume
Got this as the price was knocked down. Now I know why... decent sound from a little speaker but if you wanted it on low, it crackles as if it was blown (well, mine did anyway). Brand new, from the shop that day.
Will be returning it. Shame

Design fault or simply unlucky?
When it worked, it was great and perfect for the garden. Powerful sound, showerproof and long battery life.
However within a couple of months the socket for the charging lead disappeared inside. Contacted Richard Dyas customer services by e-mail (72 hour reply) who dutifully sent out another without quibble.
Second one developed the same problem within a week, again contacted RD (72 hour reply) "Do you want a refund?"
"yes please" (72 hours)
"OK"
Was I unlucky, or was it a design fault?
On examination the socket is connected to a very fragile circuit board by way of a flimsy solder, it's no wonder they broke so easily.
I won't buy this product again, though I would continue to shop with Robert Dyas again. Yes their customer services take their time but easy to reach and solved the problem without fuss, as opposed to other companies.
