Stylish, efficient and quiet.
This machine replaced a previous LG machine that lasted nineteen and a half years so , if this lasts as long I will be very happy. I have had the machine for a couple of weeks now and can say that I am not at all disappointed with it. The only reason I have not given it five stars is it has a very annoying tune it plays on completion of a load cycle. My old LG machine beeped several times, which was tolerable, but this ones tune I think is not necessary and unfortunately there does not appear to be any way to turn it off. This is a heavy machine which I suppose you should expect given the size of the drum. The programs are relatively straight forward and the hard copy manual is something to be applauded when so many items come without. It has to be the quietist washing machine out there because even with a load of towels and on a 1400rpm spin I can hardly hear it and very little juddering and banging on a spin. The machine does not want to dance across the room and if it attempts to do so LG supply you with two pads to go under the front feet to help against this. I have used the AI cycle a lot and I find I need less detergent in this machine and so far every cycle I have put it through, including the drying cycles, have my washing done in an hour or just a little over. The cycles, or the majority of them, are changeable for water temperature and spin speed. It has washed heavy items like towels and denim jeans and more delicate items with ease and extremely good results. The controls are a combination of an dial control and a touch screen which again are very easy to use. I live alone but this machine is clearly a good choice for a larger family as well. One of the main reasons I wanted another LG machine is because of the Direct Drive motor, which carries a 10 year guarantee, which means you do not have to worry about belts stretching or coming off ever again. The slate grey of the machine I have gives the machine a stylish look and everyone that has seen it has made nothing but good comments. This machine has to be on your list if you are looking for a washer dryer and I can only recommend it.
